Directories will list heads of house, with a concession and lot number, as well as whether they are a tenant or freeholder (owner). If they are a freeholder, you can look up land records for that lot via https://www.onland.ca/ui/ and be able to see when they bought and sold that property.

In 2001, Durham Region OGS Branch became an active contributor to the Ontario Genealogical Society Provincial Index Project (OGSPI), committed to transcribing the 1891 census of Durham and Ontario Counties; and also parts of Muskoka and York Region due to electoral boundaries.
Our branch collection of web links contains many web resources located in the Durham Region, as well as genealogical portals and short cuts to government sites.
A special set of web links has been developed by the Education Committee - for those Starting on the Internet.
