HUBERT, Leslie George
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie George HUBERT on Sunday, June 1 at the age of 76. Born in Bexleyheath, England on November 11, 1931, he immigrated to Canada at a young age, arriving first in Nova Scotia and moving with his new bride to London, Ontario in 1949, where he worked for Loblaws for more than 30 years and took to his new home with enthusiasm, becoming an avid photographer, golfer and outdoorsman, with a special affection for Algonquin Park. Devoted husband to Arlene and father to Gary, Penny (wife of Mike YECK,) Deborah, Cindy, Frank and Rick; proud grandfather to Heather, Diane, John, Steven, Nathan and Trevor; and great-grandfather to Shawn. Survived by 2 sisters, Christine COOKE and Frances HILTZ, and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and England. The family would like to express its gratitude to Wayne Ball, Frank Dores, Bob Lamb, Butch Lucas, Larry Shaw and Ken Twilley for their enduring Friendship and support. A gathering for family and Leslie's Friends will be held on Sunday afternoon June 8 - please call (519) 472-3213 for details. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Leslie at a later date.
