MacMILLAN, Ruby Blanche (GETSON)
Peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Longworth Long Term Care, Ruby Blanche (GETSON) MacMILLAN in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Thomas MacMILLAN (1989.) Dear mother of Wilma KEELER and her husband Ross of London, Donald MacMILLAN of Wiarton, Eileen EBIN of Florida, Rick MacMILLAN and his wife Bev of London, Robert MacMILLAN and Louis QUENNELLE of Nova Scotia. Much loved grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and her extended families of 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sons-in-law James CROWE and William ZIMMIE, her grand_son Rick COLLINS, her great-granddaughter Holly COLLINS and by her 11 siblings. Ruby was the 10th and last surviving member of her family. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, April 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The celebration of Ruby's life will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday, April 10th, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Doctor Arthur G. HILEY officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society, 555 Southdale Road East, Suite 100, London, N6E 1A2, as well as to the Byron United Covenant Church, 420 Boler Road, London, N6K 2K5. They were blessed beyond measure to have had her for a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Ruby's family wish to extend a special thank you to the "Yellow Rose" staff at Longworth Long Term Care, her home for the past 6 years, for the exceptional care she received and the sense of love of an extended family.
