Her ever-cheerful, humorous, optimistic approach to life touched all who enjoyed the privilege of knowing her. Bertha was predeceased by her 3 sisters; Jane CALDWELL, Hester FULFORD, and Elizabeth AGRO. Bertha enjoyed a teaching career in the Ottawa Valley, Oakville, Kitchener and East York. She retired to Lakefield where she developed a passion for walking. She quickly became known as 'the lady who walks'. Her interest in people and her zest for life made a simple stroll down Queen St. a major social event. A funeral service will be held at Lakefield United Church on Friday July 18, 2008 at 1 p.m. Reverend Warren VOLLMER officiating.
