At the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Chesley, on Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at the age of 85 years, D.A. McANGUS of Chesley and formerly of Paisley. Husband of the late Edith YUILL. Dear father of James HOPPER and his wife Nancy of Wallaceburg, and Donald and his wife Debbie of Paisley. Grandpa of Sarah and her husband Ryan VANDERPUTTEN of Calgary, Graham HOPPER of Toronto and Bree-Ann McANGUS, and Kevin McANGUS both of Paisley. Proud great-grandpa of Michael VANDERPUTTEN. Brother of Wilda and her husband Alex LAMONT of Saugeen Township. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary McARTHUR of Port Elgin. He is predeceased by his parents William and Kathleen McANGUS, and by his brothers Glen and Jack. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, from 1: 00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27th, 2007. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday at 2: 00 p.m. Interment Douglas Hill Cemetery. At Huronlea Home, Brussels on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 Mary Edith (YUILL) WARWICK of Blyth in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late James Kenneth WARWICK (1981.) Loving mother of Doug and Barb WARWICK of Powassan; Ruth and Fred ARMSTRONG of R.R.#2 Auburn; Linda and Don STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Blyth; Paul and Virginia WARWICK of R.R.#3, Exeter and Kevin and Susan WARWICK of Blyth. Loved and sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Laura JOHNSTON of Belgrave Helen WARWICK of Bluevale and Isabel SHORTREED of Seaforth. Predeceased by 2 sisters Myrtle REZANSOFF and Helen McBURNEY and 2 brothers Clarence and Robert YUILL. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd, Blyth Visitation Centre, 407 Queen Street Blyth on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Blyth United Church on Monday January 15, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Blyth Union Cemetery. LAWSON, John Peter (R.C.N. Ret'd)
Of Belleville, Ontario, in his 82nd year. Peacefully, July 17th 2007, with family by his side. After illness and several weeks of pneumonia, Peter showed great courage and resolve. son of the late Arthur Gorham LAWSON and Emily Jean (née ROGERS.) Survived by his loving wife Georgina (née YUILL,) son Christopher and daughter-in-law Susan. "Grandpa-Pete" to Nicole, Charlotte and Alexandria. Dear brother to James and his wife Patricia of Ottawa. Will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Peter was born in Montreal. It was there and Toronto where he spent his childhood. As a young man he attended Trinity College school in Port Hope, Ontario. In 1943 Peter received a scholarship to Royal Roads Naval College. He served as an officer in both the Royal Canadian Navy and Naval Reserve. Post World War 2 and his completion of active duty, Peter continued his studies at St. George Williams College in Montreal (Concordia University) where he earned his degree. Later he accepted a position with Shell Canada as a sales and marketing executive and returned once again to Toronto. He and Georgina were married in 1965 and welcomed the birth of their only child Christopher in 1966. An opportunity to relocate to Belleville, Ontario in 1976 was enthusiastically taken, where Peter was the Shell Canada Eastern Ontario industrial sales rep. In 1982 he retired and continued to pursue his keen interest in horse racing, model trains, photography, sailing, his impressive stamp collection and his love and devotion to his family. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing nurses and staff at Hallowell House in Picton who's care, compassion and dedication has been of great comfort. Friends are invited to the Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street Belleville (613) 968-6968 on Friday, July 20th from 1: 00-2:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel at 2: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of J. Peter LAWSON to Hallowell House for the Palliative Care Program, P.O. Box 800, R.R.#1 Picton, Ontario.
