BRAIVE, Marjorie Caroline (née LIDDELL)
Marjorie Caroline BRAIVE (née LIDDELL) passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on April 8, 2006. Beloved wife and best friend of John Louis; dearest mother of Carrie SMITH (Charles) of Richmond Hill; John (Hilary CLEMENTS) and Charles of Toronto and Peter Roy (Monique PATENAUDE) of Newmarket. Beloved Granny of Richard (Jennifer); Lori (Angelina); Vanessa, Jeremy, Russell and Alexander and great grandmother of Zachary and Gabriel. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. LIDDELL; dear sister of Mary DRESCHER (Florida) and Irene UFER (Toronto and Montreal) and the late Joan SAMPLES (Virginia.) Marge endured the pain of ill health without complaint. All who knew her admired her determination and courage. She drew strength from her family, her love of nature and her belief in God. She will be remembered for her sense of humour, sincerity and selflessness. Special thanks and gratitude to the wonderful care givers from Don Mills Foundation and ComCare for their compassion and the professional, caring staff at Sunnybrook Hospital. Funeral services will be held at St. Bonaventure Church, 1300 Leslie Street, Don Mills, on Wednesday, April 12 at 10: 30 a.m. Visitation at St. Bonaventure's April 12 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment in Cimetiere Cotes des Neiges, Montreal, T.B.A. If desired, donations in her memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 20 Victoria Street, 6th floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5C 2N8 would be appreciated.

At Parkwood Hospital after a lengthy illness on Sunday October 15, 2006 Marianne Rose beloved wife of William (Bill) McLAUGHLIN in her 55th year. Beloved daughter of Elinor (UFFELMAN) MARTIN and the late G. Clare MARTIN. Marianne will be sadly missed by her brother Clare MARTIN and his wife Laurie (KOCHER) and nieces Alison, Sandra, and Leah of Bamberg and family friend Al LUCAS. Predeceased by her brother Philip (2005). Sister-in-law to Ed and Marie McLAUGHLIN, Theresa and Tom FITZPATRICK, Rose Marie ANGER, Peggy and Marc BOUILANNE, Bonnie MANDERS, Tom and Mary Ann McLAUGHLIN, and her late brothers-in-law Bruce ANGER and Joe MANDERS. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Saint Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lucan. Donations to Parkwood Hospital c/o Saint_Joseph's Health Care Foundation or to Muscular Dystrophy would be appreciated.

UFFELMANN, Maris "Phyllis" Miriam (née ANDERSON)
(April 1, 1925-November 10, 2006)
Phyllis died after a lengthy illness at Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo. Beloved wife for 53 years of Doctor Fred UFFELMANN of Waterloo. Loving mother of Maris (Dean CONNOR) of Toronto, Jim (Lise) of Cochrane, Alberta and Sarah (Irvan YEE) of Barrie. Gammie to Alastair, Liam and Reegan CONNOR and Elliott and Ruby YEE. Also survived by a brother-in-law Warren MAY of Exeter, Ontario and sisters-in-law Alice ANDERSON and Susie ANDERSON. Predeceased by her parents, C.A. and Muriel ANDERSON and five siblings. Phyllis was born in Burnt Church, New Brunswick and left her home province to join the Navy as a W.R.E.N. She became a Registered Nurse at Jeffery Hale Hospital in Quebec City and later worked in Toronto, London, New Haven, Connecticut and Regina, Saskatchewan. Phyllis and Fred permanently settled in Waterloo in 1957. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Phyllis' life will be held in the chapel of the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. The family thanks all of Phyllis' caregivers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo would be appreciated. A resident of Blenheim, formerly of Ridgetown, died at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the age of 76. Born in Detroit, Michigan daughter of the late William and Gladys (UFFORD) SCOTT. Beloved wife of the late William EVANS (1991.) Loving mother of Sally AINSWORTH and husband John of Lakefield, Lonnie JOHNSON and husband Tom of Ridgetown, Cheryl BULCKAERT and husband Leonard of Ridgetown, Nancy CHERRY and husband David of Jacksonville, Florida, Ron EVANS and wife Debra of Ridgetown and the late James Corley (1989). Grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 11 and 1 great-grandchild predeceased in (1991.) Sister of Mrs. Marjorie ENGEL of Michigan and the late Arnold SCOTT. Alice was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #185 Blenheim. The EVANS family will receive family and Friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E. Ridgetown on Sunday September 24, 2006 from 2: 00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Legion Service will held Sunday at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday September 25, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. with Pastor Al McINTYRE officiating.
