(World War 2 veteran - Wounded in active service. Continued in Provost Corps in Holland after the war. Long-time member of George St. United Church. Retired from Purity Packaging, General Motors and Quaker Oats.)
Peacefully, at home, with his three sons at his side, on Sunday, March 5, 2006 in his 85th year. Russ, beloved husband of the late Lillian (née LAFEVIER.) Loving father of Gary of Vancouver, Gregory (wife Lynn) of Peterborough and Bradley (wife Janet) of Peterborough. Dear Grandfather of Leslie, Brooke, Brady and Danielle and Great-grandfather of Ciera. Dear brother of Monty, Stanley, Hazel, Evelyn and Mildred and the late Kenneth, Elwood, Carl, Maybell and Donald. He will also be missed by Audrey BRADY- YOUNG and many other relatives and Friends. Friends will be received at Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at George St. United Church, 534 George St. North on Wednesday, March 8th at 1: 30 p.m. Reverend Karen PTOLEMY- STAM officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Bible Society or George St. United Church would be appreciated by the family.

KNAPP, Randolph " Randy" William
Peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, March 13, 2006. Randy KNAPP in his 51st year. (Sir Sandford Fleming Law and Justice Faculty, Long Time Member of Peterborough Golf and Country Club, Former Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Peterborough Police Officer). Beloved spouse of Monika. Loving father of Lauren Paige, Heather Anne, and Katharine Sienna Marie KNAPP. Dear brother of Paul (Lynn) of Hamilton and Ron (Anne) of Ancaster. Beloved son of Jean (Jim) SHIELDS of Hamilton and the late Wm James KNAPP. Randy will be fondly remembered by his former students and colleagues in law enforcement, golf buddies as well as his many nephews and nieces and former wife Pat KNAPP of Peterborough. Visitation will be from Kaye Funeral Home "Memorial Chapel", 539 George St. N. Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006 from George Street United Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Karen PTOLEMY- STAM officiating. After a wonderful full life, at the age of 103, on Saturday, January 7, 2006. Beloved wife of the late George DUKE. Loving Mum of Vicky (Peter) PTOLEMY, George (the late Jessie,) John (the late Reta), the late Ernie (the late Bea), Faith (Bill) SCOTT, the late Kay (Don) FORD and Charlie (the late Pat.) Mary was a special grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma and she will be deeply missed by all. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
