At Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 15, 2006. Helen KROL of Saint Thomas in her 80th year. Dear mother of Donald KROL and wife Mary Margaret of Port Stanley, Stephen KROL of Saint Thomas, and Michael KROL and wife Kelly of Saint Thomas. Love by her grandchildren Jonathan, Donald, Stephen, Tazia, Arek, Charity, Sara, Kasey, and Jessica. Great-grandmother of Annelise, Jon, Lauren, Braidon, Avril and Zackery. Sister of Frieda BLASZCZAK and Martha OZOLINS of Saint Thomas, Hanna LOHR of Germany and predeceased by Andy KUSACK and Maria Verdermann. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Poland on May 24, 1927 daughter of the late Gotlibe and Maria (NEUKAMM) KUSACK. Helen was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saint Thomas. She came to Saint Thomas in 1949 from Germany and retired from United Technologies in 1990. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday October 19, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saint Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Christopher, Sean, Alicia, Melissa, Brittany, Emily, Alexander, Michael, Courtney and Meagan. Dear brother of Bruce (Rosalee,) and Kaye CLARKE (William). Retired from Stelco after more than 30 years of service. Passed away peacefully at the Residence On King Street Retirement Residence, Midland on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the age of 83 years. Joseph KUSETA, formerly of Stroud and Toronto, was the beloved husband of the late Audrey REEVES. Loving father of Anita KUSETA (Dave PROUT) of Waubaushene. Loved grandfather of Nick, Amanda, and Kaitlin. Dear brother of Marc of Australia, and Katica of Croatia. Predeceased by his brother Elia of Croatia. Joseph was a retired employee for the City of Toronto. Friends may call at the Coldwater Funeral Home, 22 Sturgeon Bay Road, Coldwater, (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485) on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the service will be held on Tuesday, February 21st at 1 p.m. Spring burial Saint John's Catholic Cemetery, Waubaushene. KUSHAR, Dore " Ted"
On March 7, 2006, Mr. Dore (Ted) KUSHAR of Oakville, in his 91st year. Ted's faith in God and love for his family guided him and gave him strength. Cherished and devoted husband of Mara. Loving father of John of Oakville and Dorce of Slovenia. He will be greatly missed by his grand_sons Andre of Oakville, Bostjan, Mateja and Petra of Slovenia and his great-grandchild Nika of Slovenia. Ted will be lovingly remembered by all his family and Friends here in Oakville and in Slovenia. Ted was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He participated in the 1936 Olympics and was and avid mountain climber and skier in his beloved Slovenia. Ted and Mara moved to Canada in 1952 where he perfected his love of book-binding as a career. Ted made some lifetime Friends in Collingwood where he continued to ski. He was blessed with a wonderful voice and sang in the choir at Marije Pomagaj (Our Lady Help of Christians) Church in Toronto. We will miss you terribly, but remember you are always in our hearts for the unique person you were. We love you. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th Street, 416-259-3705) on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. from Marije Pomagaj (Our Lady Help of Christians) Church, 611 Manning Ave., Toronto. KOCSIS, Julianna (née DOBOS)
Passed away peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, December 17th, 2006, Julianna (DOBOS) KOCSIS of Tillsonburg, formerly of Straffordville, at the age of 84 years. Born January 12, 1922, Jablonov, Slovenskó daughter of the late Jozef DOBOS and the late former Julianna (JAVOR) DOBOS. Charles and Julianna emigrated to Canada in 1948 and they were one of the very first parish families at the St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, Courtland. Together they grew tobacco near Straffordville for 23 years until their retirement. Julianna was a dedicated member of the St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church and Past President of the St. Ladislaus Ladies Auxiliary; dedicated member of the Delhi Hungarian Home, and an avid bowler with the Tillsonburg Ladies Bowling League. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years Charles KOCSIS Sr. (March 15, 2006.) Much loved mother of: Geza KOCSIS of Southampton, Helen and her husband John KRISTOF of Port Dover, Charles KOCSIS and his partner Barbara ARMSTRONG of Tillsonburg. Proud and loving grandmother of Sandra MONGER, Heather KOCSIS, John KRISTOF (Michelle,) James KRISTOF (Melanie), Deborah (Mark KOLENC) and great-grandmother of Ondreah, Luke and Ashton. Survived by a half brother Bela KOCSIS of Port Stanley and two sisters Ilona KUSTVAN (and the late Steve) and Maria VARADI (and the late Frank,) both of Slovenskó.
