KUPER, Chaim Shaye
Peacefully in his 93rd year, on Tuesday, September 25, 2006, surrounded by his close family. Chaim KUPER, beloved husband and lifelong partner of the late Freidke KUPER. Eldest son of Sure Ite and Hersh Peisach. Loving father and father-in-law of Ana and Saul BERMAN, Bella and Stanley SANDERSON. Infinitely more than a grandfather of Jason and Sarah, Hershl and Xuan, and Chavele and Leibele. Dear brother of Shloime and Itchele, Ruchl, and the late Yul Dovid and Shimon (Pushkin). An inspiration to countless nieces, nephews, family and Friends. A Bundist in every sense. Special thanks to Doctor Sandy BUCHMAN and the palliative care teams at Princess Margaret Hospital, Baycrest, and the Temmy Latner Centre and to Doctor Abraham SASSON for his dedication to our parents' well-being. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin), for service on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Workman's Circle section of Mt. Sinai Memorial Park. Following the interment family will receive visitors at 66 Waterloo Avenue until Sunday, October 1, 2006. BROWN, Reverend Francis Emmett
On Saturday, June 24, 2006, Reverend Francis Emmett BROWN passed away peacefully in the Intensive Care Unit at Victoria Hospital in London, surrounded by his faithful and loving parishioners. He was the son of the late James Stewart and Mary K. BROWN of North Bay, Ontario. Loving brother of Georgia CONROY (Frank) and their two daughters Brenda KUPFERSCHMIDT (Mark) and their daughter Nicole of Guelph and Maureen McILWRICK (Ken) and their daughter Lauren from Sault Ste. Marie. Fond cousin of Mrs. Molly (née GORMAN) GILMORE (John), Mrs. Edith (née GORMAN) SERHAN (Bill), both from Long Beach, California, Mrs. Frances (BAKER) FARR (Charlie) from Burlington, Ontario, and Mrs. Mona PITT (Fred) from London, Ontario. Father BROWN was born in the city of Toronto on March 22, 1930. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a B.A. in Education from the University of Toronto. He worked as a French teacher and the head of the Guidance Department at the Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational Institute. After a few years he made the decision to join Saint Peter's Seminary in London to consecrate his life to Priesthood. On June 6, 1964 he was ordained Priest by The Most Reverend Bishop Maxime TESSIER. Once ordained he moved to Boston where he joined Saint James Apostle Society with hopes of becoming a missionary in South America. After eight months of service in a Massachusetts Parish he moved to Peru where he spent four months learning Spanish. In June of 1965, he was sent to the Dioceses of Guayaquil, Ecuador where he spent twelve years at the Conception of Mary Parish, here he founded a strong Catholic youth group that still today works together following the foundations of Father BROWN's work. Later he moved to the Pacific Coast of Ecuador where he spent another 12 years celebrating Masses and creating stronger communities in several small towns in the area. In 1988 he returned to Canada and was assigned to work with the growing Hispanic Community in the City of London, where he served as Pastor, spiritual counselor, guide, role model and friend for over 17 years. "Padre Francisco" as everyone called him, dedicated his life to the Hispanic people specially the most poor and needy. He was the prime example of a true follower of Jesus Christ. His family, parishioners and Friends would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital's Geriatrics and Intensive Care Units for their love and compassion. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday, June 27 and Wednesday, June 28, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. To lie in State at Saint_Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Blvd., London on Thursday morning, June 29, 2006 from 9 o'clock where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by The Most Reverend Ronald Peter FABBRO, Bishop of London at 11 o'clock. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Prayers will be led by Father Clèber FERNANDEZ at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. Donations to Save a Family Plan, c/o Saint Peter's Seminary, London would be appreciated.

Peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on April 16, 2006 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Catharine. Loving father of Tommy, Mary Ann (Mark) CAVANAUGH, Polly (Mark) KUPI, Cathy HUGHES, Dianne BOURGEOIS, Doug (Darlene) REID, Mike (Shannon) REID, and Cathy REID. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Claudette, Matthew, Ben and Dougie; and his sisters Barbara JENKINSON, and Debra BULLARD. Predeceased by his daughter Lorri HUGHES, his mother Mary McCURDY and father William A. HUGHES. Bill was a retired Business Agent for the R.W.D.S. Union and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 144 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie no. 4250. He will be sorely missed by his extended family and numerous Friends. Family will receive Friends at the Stoney Creek Funeral Home, 454 Hwy. 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Bill's life will be held at the Stoney Creek Funeral Home Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
