PLEWES, Evelyn " Toots" (née JOHNSTON)
Peacefully in her 100th year at University Hospital on Friday, November 10, 2006. Dear wife of Harvey PLEWES (deceased.) Beloved mother of Mary Anne ION and Susan PLEWES (deceased.) Wonderful Grandma to Susan and Steve VROOMAN and Jon and Teresa ION. Great-grandma to Madeline, Grace and Samuel VROOMAN and Matthew ION. Evelyn is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Our thanks to Dr. HAMILTON, Cheryl TALBOT and staff at University Hospital for their excellent care during her stay and to the staff at Meadowcroft Place for their care over the years. She will be sadly missed, but always in our hearts and thoughts. Visitation will be in the Needham Funeral Home (520 Dundas St.) on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from noon to 1 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

NORTON, Arthur Campbell
Suddenly in Vancouver, April 14, 2006, while en route to Australia to visit family, in his 63rd year. Cam, beloved husband of Sam ION, remembered with love by daughter Jayne ION and her husband Nick LOCKWOOD; son Russ ION and his wife Deanne and grand_sons Zachary and Aleksander, his family and many Friends in the newspaper business as well as the provincial government. A talented writer and dedicated, exceptional newspaper editor respected by his colleagues at the Windsor Star and the Toronto Sun, Cam loved his family, his work, the Lake of Bays area and the family mutt, McDuff. A celebration of Cam's life will be held Friday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 10 Trinity Square, Toronto (behind the Eaton Centre). After the memorial, Friends are invited to gather at the Toronto Press Club (in the Ontario Club), Main Lounge, 30 Wellington St. W., Commerce Court South, 5th floor.
