FYKE, Carolyn Winnifred (née WOOD)
In her 66th year, Kingston, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. The sweetest of ladies, the love of husband Alan's life for 46 years, dearest friend and mother to Erin and Brendan and fiancée Amy SHIRE of Kingston. Dear sister to Beverley (late Jack ALCOTT) of Baldwin, Lynda and Lyn KEELER of Wellington. Carolyn is the daughter of Marjorie (BATH) of Pickering and the late Walter WOOD. Sister-in-law to Bob FYKE and Janet, Ajax, much loved by her nieces and nephews. Carolyn volunteered for several charities, always preferring to work in the background. Carolyn belonged to many bridge groups. Her fellow bridge partners will remember Carolyn's cheerfulness and sense of humour, never and unkind word to anyone. Carolyn was a loyal Blue Jays fan, and particularly enjoyed Spring Training in Florida. Retsing at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, for service in the chapel Monday, April 3 at 10: 30 a.m. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In Carolyn's memory, donations may be made to the Kingston Joint Hospital Campaign, Cancer Centre, or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, Kingston Chapter.
