HARRIS, Floyd " Bus" Earl
At Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2006. Floyd "Bus" Earl HARRIS of Saint Thomas in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Rose Mary (McMILLAN) HARRIS. Loving father of Suzanne OVERTON and husband Richard of Strathroy, Victoria CONROY of London and Peter HARRIS of Saint Thomas. Dear brother-in-law of Gord ABEL, Ron AXTELL and Florence McMILLAN. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 5 sisters Margaret MATTHEWS, Velma SCHOUPPE, Gladys AXTELL, Leitta ABEL and Helen HARRIS. Born in Delmer on September 21, 1920 son of the late Earl and Evaline (ESSELTINE) HARRIS. Floyd served overseas in World War 2 in the Royal Canadian Armour Corp. and in Alberta in the Princess Pat Louise Guards. He was a chicken farmer at Yarmouth Centre for many years and a member of the New Sarum Baptist Church. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in the Delmer Cemetery. ROWDEN, William Charles
Of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas, on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Carolyn Irene (AXTELL) ROWDEN and dearly loved father of Beverly and her husband Mike BULLAS of Springfield and Barbara and her husband Rick BAUSLAUGH of Lambeth. Much loved grandfather of Jennifer. Sadly missed by his grand dogs Katie and Allie. Bill was born in Saint Thomas on December 25, 1929, the son of the late Ernest Henry and Mary (McLEAN) ROWDEN. He was retired from the Post Office. A private family service will be held. Cremation, with interment of ashes in Union Cemetery. No public visitation. Remembrances would be appreciated to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas in charge of arrangements.
