The family announces with sorrow his death on Wednesday July 6, 2005 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 75. Survived by his wife Helen May FLEMING/FLEMMING (REID,) his daughter Deanna Lynn McCHRISTIE (Kevin,) his sons John Clarke FLEMING/FLEMMING (Debbie,) and Anthony Edwin FLEMING/FLEMMING (Sharon,) his grandchildren Branden, Adam (Pam) and Raven, his greatgrandchild Reilly, his brother Doug FLEMING/FLEMMING (Shirley,) his brother-in-law Jack REID (Anne) and his sister-in-law Dolly THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Bruce.) He will be missed by his dog, his best friend Buddy. Predeceased by his mother Susan FLEMING/FLEMMING (GEDDES) his father John FLEMING/FLEMMING and his sisters Frances GRAHAM and Lois HIGGINS.
Edwin loved the outdoors, especially his camp at Minakwa Lodge, where he enjoyed fishing. He retired from Kidd Creek Mine in 1988 where he worked as a Millwright. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Daffodil Terrace in Sudbury or to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive Friends on Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Maison Funéraire Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home (705-268-4488). At this time, the family wishes to extend a special thank you to Pit and Aline ROY, Phyllis and Shane BOEKE, as well as the nursing staff at the Timmins and District Hospital.
