It is with great sadness that the family announce the tragic death of Mike VAN BOMMEL at his home in Glen Morris on Friday, March 19th, 2005 in his 39th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Sharon (née CRIGHTON,) loving and devoted father of Christopher, Jillian, Eleasha and Deanna. Mike will be forever loved and missed by his mother Margaretha, and his siblings Annie (Paul HAYWARD,) Denise (and friend Arnold PACZAY,) Jenny (Marty HAHN), Ed (Jenny VAN BOMMEL), Rick (Brenda VAN BOMMEL), and Nancy (Mark STUBBS.) He is fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Wilma (and the late Hector CRIGHTON,) and was a brother-in-law to Elaine (Greg KELLAM), Craig (Nicole CRIGHTON), and Stuart (Suzanne CRIGHTON). Much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mike is predeceased by his father Joseph VAN BOMMEL and by his brother-in-law Dan COWAN. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was a passionate hunter. He will be forever remembered by all whose lives he touched. Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, North Chapel, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Brenda OTAWA of Glen Morris United Church officiating. At Telfer Place, Paris on Monday, April 4, 2005, Anna May GARLAND of Telfer Place, Paris and formerly of Toronto, Brantford, Thunder Bay, Orr Lake, Elmvale and Barrie; in her 92nd year. Beloved 'May dear' of the late Frederick Henry BENNETT (November 22, 2002;) loving mother of Audrey STRATFORD of Paris, Gordon and Carolyn BENNETT of Port Elgin, Marilyn and Murray HOPTON of Bramalea and mother-in-law of Donna BENNETT of Orillia. She was predeceased by her youngest son (O.P.P. Constable) George Hubert BENNETT (February 12, 1980;) dearly loved sister of Gordon GARLAND of Toronto; Grandma BENNETT was the gentle and loving grandmother of the STRATFORD kids, John, Cathy, Jim, Carolyn, Andy and Sharon the BENNETT kids, Rick, Debbie and Ron; Jeff BENNETT of London and the HOPTON kids, Steve and Mike and proud Grandma B to many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her younger sister Elvera PIBWORTH. May came from a loving Salvation Army home and shared her strong Christian Faith with her husband and family all of her life. Friends will be received at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, April 7 from 12: 30 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Reverend Brenda OTAWA of Glen Morris United Church officiating.
