MINSOS, Wally Elsa Gertrud " Trudi"
(May 17, 1907-April 24, 2005)
Daughter of Wally Elsa OHLENDIECK and Leonhard GUNKEL of Bremen, orphaned at eleven, adopted into the Landmark family of Oslo, Trudi divided her early years between Norway and Germany. In Norway, skiing, Trudi met Fred MINSOS, a Canadian national of Norwegian extraction. They married, and in 1947, the A.O. Minsos family moved to Edmonton, where Dr. MINSOS practiced architecture until his retirement in 1975. Dr. MINSOS passed away August 1, 1990. Musician, equestrian into her late 60's, community supporter, Oma loved Edmonton, but most of all, she loved her family. She leaves to celebrate her life, and mourn her passing, daughter Turid OLAFSON of Denman Island, her son Ove MINSOS of Edmonton, daughter-in-law Susan MINSOS, grandchildren Dr. Jennifer MINSOS, Arne OLAFSON, Gillian MINSOS, Kirsten OLAFSON, Clark MINSOS, Christopher MINSOS, and 2 great-granchildren. She also leaves her Bergen family, her Bremen family and her west-coast family. Special thanks go to her wonderful caregivers, and her dear Friends at the Good Samaritan Dr. Gerald Zetter Centre. A private memorial service has been held.

At Kensington Village on Wednesday, November 9th, 2005, Mr. Michael BIRO of London and formerly of Tillsonburg in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Goldie. Much loved dad of Susan OHLER and her husband Mike, and David all of London, and Mike Jr. of Barrie. Dear brother of Louie BIRO, Bill BIRO and Helen VAMOS. Grandpa to Michael, Adam, Daniel, Ashley and Grace. The family will receive Friends one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Friday, November 11th, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Michael are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex.

The family announces the tremendous loss of Mona GIRDHAR on Monday, March 21, 2005. Genuine, principled, and strong-willed, she went out of her way to help others regardless of family association, and fought for justice even when it meant sacrificing herself. She was deeply spiritual and consecrated her actions to the divine light. Her tireless fight against cancer ended at the age of 55. She was the beloved wife of Ravi GIRDHAR, ever-loving mother of Neil and Samir, cherished daughter of Aimée and the late Amin SHAKRA. Dear sister of May (Jerry) OHLHOFF and Selim (Rosalie) SHAKRA. Devoted friend to the late Azar PAD and her children Raha and Raham. Will be sadly missed by her aunt Georgette (Tom) MORIARTY and her cousins Adel (Rollande,) and Aida MIRSHAK and her nieces and nephews Anne-Marie, Christina, Michael, and Jennifer. Friends may visit at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday in the Chapel at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.

SAHOTA, Anna Irene (née OHLIG)
Peacefully, on Thursday, March 3, 2005, at St. Michael's Hospital, in her 73rd year, following a lengthy and courageous struggle with heart disease. Beloved wife of Sarwan SAHOTA. Loving mother of Paul (Susan) and Michael (Beverley), and dear "Oma" to Scarlett, Clifton, Sean, and Madeline. Survived by brother Helmut (Elizabeth) and sister Agathe of Germany. Fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. The family is grateful to have been blessed with 13 precious years with Irene since her first heart attack in 1992. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Michael's who have taken such good care of her over the years, especially Dr. DORIAN, Mary GREEN, the staff at the Defibrillator Clinic and Dr. SANTO. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Peacefully and with dignity on May 1, 2005 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 78th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Jean (née LIPPETT) his wife of 54 years. Devoted father of Sharon and her husband Ralph and Brian and his wife Darlene. Dearly loved and remembered always as Grandpa to Michael and Poppa to Katie. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Art BUCHANAN of Victoria Square, brother Nelson and brother-in-law Neale LIPPETT. Cherished brother of Edward (Eileen,) Anne BOYD, sister-in-law Marion (Gary,) brother-in-law Jack LIPPETT (Marg,) Paul LIPPETT (Ruby), Anne OHLIS and Lorraine LIPPETT.
