DYBA, Irene
Passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, September 29th, 2005. Irene is lovingly remembered by her brother Norman. She was predeceased by her dear father John (1978) and her cherished mother Annie (1995). Irene enjoyed a stellar career at the Toronto Star for 44 years and 8 months. She will long be remembered for her fabulous sense of humour and for the many lives that she enhanced. She was one in a million. A private family service has been held. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers, to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully accepted. Rest in Peace Renee

(Survivor of Soviet Labour Camps and Royal Air Force Veteran (Polish) World War 2) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones at St. Joseph's Health Centre, on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at the age of 79. Cherished father of Terenia and her husband James LOTT, Grazynka and her husband Bernie TRIPPEL, Edziu, Alinka and her husband Andrew George. Adored Dziadziu of Stephen, Sandy, Julia, and great-grandfather of Jordan and Jenna. Dearly loved brother of Zbigniew W. and the late Eugeniusz L. and brother-in-law of Karolina C. and Marysia F. Dear uncle of Maria K. (Washington, D.C.), Mark Z. (Prattville, Alabama), Jasio, Franio, Anusia and their families. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. W., on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. Private family interment Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Paul died peacefully at his home in Bucharest after a year long illness on February 20, 2005 in his eighty-first year. Paul, born in Bucharest on June 18, 1924, was the only son of Radu and Mariette LAPTEV. He is survived by his son and daughter Cotty and Maria LAPTEV, their spouses Stasia LAPTEV (née DYBKA,) Andreas KALMAR, and their mother Elizabeth LAPTEV. Paul became a grandfather to Carolina LAPTEV on December 3, 2000, and was well enough to enjoy her, briefly, prior to his illness. A memorial gathering will take place in Bucharest today, followed by a cremation. Please no flowers.

Peacefully at Shelburne District Hospital, Shelburne, Ontario, on Monday, April 11, 2005 in her 92nd year; beloved wife of the late Thomas Arthur SINFIELD; loved mother of Kathleen (Kal) and her husband Ken GALLINGER of Shelburne and Donald and his wife Sandra of Thunder Bay; dear grandmother of Tom and Diane GALLINGER and Tom, Jennifer and Jessica SINFIELD; also sadly missed by her sister Margaret POLHILL of Kelowna, British Columbia. Memorial Services in Orangeville and Thunder Bay will be announced at a later date followed by interment in Mountainview Cemetery, Thunder Bay. Arrangements entrusted to Dods and McNair Funeral Home and Chapel, 21 First Street, Orangeville. A tree will be planted in memory of Gladys in the Dods and McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
