CAMPBELL, John Dixon B.A.Sc., P.Eng., Certified Management Consultant Passed away at his farm in Orangeville, Ontario in his fifty-sixth year on November 11, 2002, in the arms of his beloved wife Beverly (née JAMES.) He leaves his wife and best friend Bev; his cherished daughter Natalie and her partner Mike; his mother Mary HAMILL his brothers and sisters: Ron and his family Jennie, Rehman, Soraiya and Rehana; Marilyn and her family Chris and Karen; Peter Cynthia and her family Penny, Erica, Meghan, Mara and Chris Michael and his family Cheryl, Sara and Devin; Mary and her family Cam, Kate, Ben, Eli and Emily; his brothers-in-law and their families Gord, Doug, Ken and nephew Alex. Predeceased by his father Michael and his stepfather Terry. Cattleman, consultant, artist, athlete, musician, winemaker - John, the true Renaissance Man - lived and loved large. Born November 13, 1946 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he attended primary school in Sydney until the family moved to Sudbury, Ontario where he attended St. Theresa Separate School. John was a member of the Copper Cliff Highlanders Cadet Corps. He attended St. Charles College where he excelled in athletics including track and field, football and basketball. He graduated in 1970 from the University of Toronto in Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science. John worked for Inco Ltd. in Thompson, Manitoba and Carborundum in Niagara Falls, Ontario before joining Coopers and Lybrand which became Pricewaterhouse Coopers-Consulting, where he, as partner, developed a successful international practice and published numerous books in the area of maintenance and materials management. John was most himself at his farm, Dalriada Meadows, where he married Bev and where they developed a line of championship Herefords. He was an avid skier and sailor and loved the outdoors. John, the ultimate host, welcomed all, where he and Bev opened their hearts and their home to family, Friends and travellers, including numerous stray and homeless animals. Thank you to Drs. MYERS, KAIZER, FINE, WILLANS and the staff of The Credit Valley Oncology Unit, Mississauga and Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville. Thank you to all those who have expressed their love and support. A special thank you to John's Friends, medical advocate Dr. Terry COOPER and fitness trainer Kerry BRANIFF. A memorial service will be held in Westminster United Church, 247 Broadway, Orangeville on Friday, November 15, 2002 at 2 o'clock. Reception at Monora Park Pavilion. Donations may be made in John's name to the Oncology Departments of Credit Valley Hospital, 2200 Eglinton Avenue W., Mississauga L5M 2N1 or Headwaters Health Care Centre, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9. CHEEK, Elsie M.
Quietly at her residence in Mississauga on Friday, December 20, 2002 in her 85th year.
Elsie CHEEK (née RUTLEDGE) beloved wife of the late Lester A. CHEEK. Loving mother to Bill and his wife Jewel and Michael ROSS and his wife Nancy. Grandmother to Mary Ellen MYERS, Jennifer WILSON and Michael Lester CHEEK. Elsie will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held in Bancroft Ontario in the spring 2003. Donations in Elsie's memory may be directed to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
