In loving memory of William BARRET CHAMBERLAIN WRIGHT, February 22, 1911 to November 4, 2002.
Bill WRIGHT, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, died at the Lodge on Monday, November 4, 2002 at the age of 91 years. He was born in Mills Township, son of the late Walter and Minerva HORE) WRIGHT, and had lived in Mills all his life, except for the years he was overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy. He had been a resident of the Lodge for about 2 years. Bill was a very active member of Branch 514 Royal Canadian Legion, participating in many events. He had farmed in Mills as well as he had been a chef on the Great Lakes ships for many years, and finished his chef's career at Northernaire Lodge. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt, fish, trap, camping with his grandchildren and attending their ball games.
Predeceased by his wife Gwenyth. Loved father of Carol and husband Bob SANDERS of Sault Ste. Marie, Ed and wife Brenda and Mike and wife Debbie of Mills, Lorrie WRIGHT of Tennessee and Sheri and husband Jimmy GOSNELL, also of Tennessee. Predeceased by daughter Nancy JERMYN in 1974. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ed and Dorothy WRIGHT of Sarnia, Fannie WOODS (Stan predeceased) of Wawa, Maude BECKS (Jim predeceased) of Barrie, Mary LONG (Orv predeceased) of Toronto, Joan and Murray STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Cornwall and Herb and Betty WRIGHT of Sudbury. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Charlie, Walter, Herb, Louisa, Elizabeth, Alice, Robert, Margaret, Ellen and Jess.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 with Mr. Erwin Thompson officiating.

BALPATAKY, Leslie -- Peacefully, in his 68th year, on Sunday, December 22, 2002 at Princess Margaret Hospital with his wife and daughter at his side. Leslie, beloved husband for 42 years of Susanne. Loving father of Susanne and her husband Ted MASON. Cherished grandfather of Alexander. Dear brother of George and Tom (deceased). Remembered with much love by his in-laws Kathy, Ed, Tom and Elizabeth. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephew. Talented and respected engineer and businessman, involved in numerous specialized high elevation projects worldwide during his long career, he will be sadly missed by his many colleagues and associates. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, December 27, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church (432 Sheppard Ave. East) on Saturday, December 28, 2002 at 12 noon. Cremation. Special thanks to Dr. HUGGINS, Dr. GOSPODAROWICZ and all staff in the Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care, support and kindness during his illness. If desired, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Big Daddy's generosity of spirit and love of life will stay with us always.

EVERSON, Gordon Joseph -- Entered into rest at his home in Cannington on November 18, 2002 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mary GOSSE. Loving father of Patsy SMITH of Kitchener, Gord and Lynda of Ajax, Beth and Dave BROOKER of Cannington, Joe of Cannington, Robert and Lisa of Ottawa and Marlene and Irwin GOLDSCHMID of Sutton. Dearly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one son Michael and 8 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington on Thursday, November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Woodville on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cannington. Grandfather of Kathy SPEARS and her husband Paul, Peggy PEAKE and her husband Ian, John GOSSLING and his wife Nancy and great-grandfather of Kyle and Turner SPEARS, Paige and Madison PEAKE, Tayte and Flynne GOSSLING. Dear brother of Allan and his wife Florence, Frank and his wife Bea. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and Friends. A Service celebrating the life of Ray will be held in the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Wednesday, November 27 at 1: 30 p.m. Donations to the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 659 (Pegasus) Squadron or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
