ATKINSON, Betty Ann (née POTTER,) R.N. -- Passed away peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Monday, November 18, 2002 at the age of 61, after a prolonged illness. Betty Ann leaves her beloved partner Dick DUECK, dear daughter Natalie ATKINSON, loving mother Margaret POTTER and cherished brother Garry F. POTTER (Annette.) Also mourning her loss are her niece Michelle BYRNE and nephews David and John POTTER. Lovingly remembered by Dick's children Keith DUECK, Dee TOTTEN and her daughter Deidre and Tessa DUECK and her daughter Rebekah. Betty Ann's tireless dedication to her nursing profession will be remembered by all who knew her. The family extends their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the caring and compassionate health care providers at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Palliative Care Unit 1E. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave.). Interment to be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, London, Ontario on Monday at 1 p.m.

BYRNES, Raymond Patrick -- Peacefully at the Baker Centre, Toronto on Friday, November 15, 2002. Raymond, beloved husband of Yolande TOURANGEAU. Loving father of Madeleine, Roderick (Juleth,) Michel and Brian (Monica) and Denise (Martin). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Alex, Gabrielle, Daniel, Julian, Philippe, Serena and Dunia and extended family of Angela and Danielle. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Eglinton Avenue East) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, November 18. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at two o'clock at The Chapel of St. James-The-Less, 635 Parliament Street, Toronto. Donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, 110 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto, M4R 1A3 or the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, 1200 Bay Street, Suite 202, Toronto, M5R 2A5.

BYRON, Robert Paul -- (Former Vice-President, Creative Director, J. Walter Thompson). As a result of injuries sustained as a traffic accident victim on January 23, 2002, Robert Paul BYRON, age 66, passed away November 11, 2002. Bob fought a courageous battle for nearly 10 months and his strength was an inspiration to many. Predeceased by wife Shirley CADE and parents Dorothy and Joseph, Bob spent his last days loved by a circle of Friends who were with him until the end. Bob will be sadly missed by Cerina CHURCHILL- WADE, husband Glen WADE and children Katie and Braxton, Steve PERNIE, Yvonne McKINNON, Greg GREASON and Jo-Ann BREHM. In accordance with Bob's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Bob's life will be arranged at a later date. His Friends would like to thank the nursing staff of the Special Care Unit, Toronto Rehab Institute, Dunn Avenue, for their compassion and splendid care. Kind thanks are also extended to the Brandolini, Paiva and Zardo families for their strength and encouragement. Arrangements were entrusted to Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel 416-924-1408.

BYRSKI, Sophie -- Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Providence Centre, Toronto, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Joseph for 52 years. Loving mother of Edward, Ronald and Helen. Funeral service will be held at Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Road (north of St. Clair Ave. E.), Scarborough, 416-267-8229, on Friday, November 22 at 2 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment following at Pine Hills Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
