PAJARI, George Sr. -- Tuesday evening, November 19, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site, age 96 years. Beloved husband of Hilda (VARJONEN) PAJARI, predeceased. Loving father of George Jr. (wife Darlene) of Orillia. Dear grandfather of George III (wife Carolanne REYNOLDS) of Vancouver, and Sherry-Lynne (husband Lou JOSEPH) of Elko, Nevada. Dear great-grandfather of Spencer ANNE. George was a remarkable man with mechanical design and invention. He is widely known in the mining and exploration companies in Canada and around the world. At George's request there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation. Donations to the Sudbury Regional Hospital Heart and Soul Campaign would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.

PATTERSON, Mildred Lilian (née QUAIL) -- On December 28, 2002, in her 83rd year, after a life well lived, at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in Streetsville. Beloved wife of Thomas S. PATTERSON. Devoted mother of Kathleen HADLEY and her husband Peter, Betty ANNE and her husband David WHITFIELD and Thomas PATTERSON Jr. Mildred will also be greatly missed by her 2 grand_sons, Kevin and Eric HADLEY. Mildred, her brothers John and James and her late sister Betty were all born in Winnipeg, but moved to Toronto at an early age. Graduating from the U. of T. in Household Economics in 1945, Mildred was an exceptional seamstress and subsequently taught dress-making and cooking in schools in Weston and Thistletown. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr) Oakville. In place of flowers, the family would prefer that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Joan is predeceased by her family. Friends may call at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street, (south of Wellesley St.), Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 10: 30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church (Sherbourne and Earl St.). Interment in the family plot at Mount Hope Cemetery.
