At the Stratford General Hospital on Friday, May 2, 2008. Vern G. YEE of Woodstock in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of S. Ping YEE for over 38 years. Dear father of Alan and his wife Annik of Orangeville, Karen YEE and her husband Terry HENHOEFFER of Kitchener, Phillip and his wife Brandi of Woodstock and Melissa YEE and Norman JAMES of London. Loved grandfather of Noah, Emilie, Jacob, Alexis and Cameron. Predeceased by his parents Woo Fat and Wai Lin YEE. Vern was a longtime owner/operator of the Gold Coin Restaurant in Woodstock for many years. Friends and relatives are invited to join with the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 after 12: 00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1: 30 p.m. Interment to follow at the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 at the age of 56 after a brave and courageous battle with leukemia. Beloved husband of Julia May (OTANI) McTAVISH. Much loved and admired father of Tyler, Terri and Mariko at home. Dear son of the late Ernie and Elaine McTAVISH. Beloved son of Mrs. Marion McTAVISH of London. Dearest and loving brother of Carole LUNTER, Kathryn BURNINGHAM and her husband Ray and Terrance McTAVISH and his wife Geraldine all of London. Dear brother-in-law of Michael OTANI and his wife Adriana of Toronto and Alan OTANI of High River, Alberta. Dearest uncle of Marnie MERRITT and her husband Paul and their children Kennedy and Logan, Brendan, Leeanne and Kevin LUNTER, Erica and Ryan BURNINGHAM and Erica and Alanna McTAVISH all of London. YOUSTON, David John (B.A. Oxon. Mathematician)
Born March 1st, 1931 in Birmingham, England, died peacefully in Toronto General Hospital on Saturday, March 29th, 2008. He was employed as a researcher at Ontario Hydro and later as a Registrar at the Supreme Court of Ontario. Beloved husband of Evelyn " Lynne" (née PETERS) and father of Christopher (deceased,) cousin of Peter and Anne HUGHES, Judy EDWARDS (Victor,) and Brian YOUSTON (Marie) in Australia. Close friend of the Ann CHAMBERS family and beloved godfather of many. He was a musician and avid chess player who won the Oxford University Chess Championship as an undergraduate at Hertford College. His wit, delightful humour and the twinkle in his eye will be sorely missed by his family, dear Friends and neighbours. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff on 4A West of Toronto General Hospital for all their exceptionally dedicated care during his last days and for the care he received when on a clinical trial at Princess Margaret Hospital. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kristina, from cancer, on Sunday, June 22 in Atlanta, Georgia. Loving and devoted wife of Joram, loving and caring mother of Tristan, 10 and Jordan, 8, she will be sadly missed by mom and dad, Mary and John, father Wayne, sisters Aubrey and Lindsey, brothers Jonathan and Jason, and the many members of the Hilliard, del Rosario, and de la Cruz families. She was very active in her community of Powder Springs, Georgia. with the 'football moms,' Girl Scouts and community association. She touched so many lives.
