John "Jack" McDONALD DEWAR
In loving memory of John McDONALD DEWAR, " Jack," September 4, 1912 - April 24, 2008, who died peacefully at the Sudbury General Hospital on Thursday at the age of 95.
Beloved husband of Maud (née HOPKIN.) Cherished father of Vivian and husband Morris VILLENEUVE of Manitowaning, Alice and husband Burke PENNIE of Manitowaning. Dear granddad of Jacqueline and husband Bob WHITE/WHYTE, Jennifer and husband Neil TALBOT, Shawn VILLENEUVE and Jenny, Heather and husband Mark GIBEAULT, John and wife Lara PENNIE, Tina and husband Jon BALFE, Robert and wife Lisa PENNIE. Special great grandfather of Christopher, Steven, Shelby, Kelsey, Rosie, Brooke, Jack, Grace, Annie, Mary-Alice (MyA), BRODIE. Predeceased by all his siblings, Reginald (wife Grace) Dewar, Grenville (wife Lorma) Dewar, Jean (husband Russ) WILLIAMSON, George (twin brother,) Marjorie (husband Cliff) VAN HORNE. Family and Friends remembered and celebrated Jack's life from 6: 30 - 8:30 pm Saturday. Funeral Service was at 2: 30 pm Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Island Funeral Home. Reverend Maxine McVEY officiating. Burial at Providence Bay Cemetery.

Orma Ruby HALLETT
In loving memory of Orma Ruby HALLETT, born November 12, 1930, died January 20, 2008, peacefully, surrounded by family at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Sunday at the age of 77. Predeceased by husband Roy (1985). Loved mother of Douglas and Mary Jane of Sudbury, Darwin (Joe) and Margaret of Spragge, Carey DAVIS of Sudbury, Dennis of Timmins, Sharon LANKTREE of Gore Bay, Gerald and Brenda of Little Current, Patricia MONETTE of Bruce Mines. Predeceased by sons Paul and Roger. Special grandma of Christopher, Melissa, Russell, Timothy, Brian, Jody, Lee-Ann, Dennis, Larry, Derek, Alan, Michelle, Shawn and Shannon. Will be missed by many great grandchildren. Remembered by siblings Alice GILCHRIST (husband Willie predeceased), Don and wife Donna KAY, Marj and husband Bev McFARLAND, Russ and Joan KAY, Margaret and Doug ELLIOT/ELLIOTT. Orma found her greatest pleasure in her family, she loved to cook, play bingo, and buy lottery tickets. She worked as a cook, and spent many years working at the Anchor Inn. Visitation 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Wednesday at Island Funeral Home. Funeral Service is at 3 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Island Funeral Home. Rev. Maxine McVEY officiating. Cremation with burial of ashes in Providence Bay Cemetery.

PERKINS, William Acheson
On Friday, May 30th, 2008, surrounded by family, following a courageous fight awaiting a liver transplant, at the age of 69 years. He will be dearly missed by wife Joan (TAILOR/TAYLOR) and children Andrew (Jeannie), Jonathan (Eileen) and Mary Caroline. Dearly loved Pa of grand_sons Declan and Ben PERKINS and granddaughter Amelia PERKINS. Beloved son to Joseph and Doris (TAGGART) PERKINS, both deceased, and son-in-law to Anna (Taylor) COLEMAN. Loyal and loving brother to Sherle PERKINS and Harry PERKINS (deceased,) and brother-in-law to Liz WEBSTER. Esteemed and loving uncle to Heather PERKINS- McVEY (David), Karen BROSSO (Brian), Kathy PERKINS and Joe PERKINS (Tammy); Mark (Michelle), Barry (Patricia), and Harry (Katie) WEBSTER. Greatly loved by many grand nieces and nephews. Graduated and earned his B.Comm. from McGill University (1963), where he played varsity football and proud brother in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Bill had a distinguished business career in transportation leading Taggart Service Limited as part of the Perkins family group of businesses, in warehousing, and in real estate sales with Coldwell Banker Sarazen Realty. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair and son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Saint_James Anglican Church on Wednesday at 11: 30 a.m. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to Saint_James Anglican Church, Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation, Ottawa Hospital, Civic Site (I.C.U.) or the Trillium Gift of Life Foundation.
