CRANE, Cecil Phillip
Dad's struggles are over and he has peace and rest at last. On Saturday, February 16th, 2008 at Alexandra Hospital, Cecil Phillip CRANE of Ingersoll passed away in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Ilene for 57 years. Loving father of Tom CRANE (Barb,) Bonnie RIBARIC, Harold CRANE (Sandie) of Ingersoll, Dan CRANE (Joanne) of Beachville, Nancy LEONARD, and Pat CATTELL (Dave) of London. Dear grandfather of Darryl (Lisa), Mel, Colleen, Chloe, Karlo, Matt, Josh, Tina, Aidan, Zach, Courtney, Katelynne and his latest joy, great-grand_son Nathan. Dear brother of Molly LANDON, Dorothy HUDSON (John), Bernice MITCHELL (Bill), Mary KNEAVES, Jack CRANE, and the late Albert CRANE (Joyce.) He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and Friends. Cecil was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Woodstock Navy Club, and the Optimist Club. Cecil was the Canadian five pin singles champion in 1963. He retired from Ingersoll Machine after over 40 years and also served on the Ingersoll Fire Dept. for 25 years. Friends will be received by the#2 hours prior to the funeral service which will be held at Ingersoll's Baptist Church (Thames Street, Ingersoll) on Wednesday, February 20th, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock. In memory of Cecil, contributions to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Ingersoll Fire Dept. would be greatly appreciated.

At the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre, Owen Sound, on Friday July 4, 2008. Shirley HELWIG of Southampton in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Russell HELWIG. Loving mother of Theresa and her husband Elmer STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Southampton, Wendy WOODWARD of Port Elgin, Debra and her husband Tom UNDERWOOD, of Port Elgin and Peter DOTZENROTH and his wife Barbara of Oshawa. Proud and loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings, Betty HEARN, Lois KNOWLES, and Art KNECHTEL. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Bernice KNECHTEL. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. Creamtion. Interment of Ashes in Southampton Cemetery, at a later date. Expressions of Remembrance may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Charity of your Choice. At Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, Tuesday, May 20th, 2008, in his 95th year. Survived by his loving wife Maryan (TISDALE,) son Robert, and daughter Deborah (Kevin PEARCE) and grandchildren Michael and Kristin. Also survived by his loving stepdaughters Dana-Leigh (Mark JOHNSON,) Linda (Gerry KNECHTEL,) Laurie (Charles WHEELER) and Karen (David PUGH.) Predeceased by his first wife, Loreen, and sisters Irene (HULBERT) and Dorothy (COSTIE) and brother Warren. Memorial service to be held Thursday, May 22nd, at First United Church, 151 Lakeshore Rd. W. (Port Credit). Visitation 1 p.m., service 2 p.m., reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Memorials and Special Gifts Fund, First United Church would be very much appreciated.

Jean passed away peacefully at Providence Manor in her 89th year on Friday, May 30, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Captain Arthur HUGHES (Signal Corps, R.C.E.M.E..) Dearly loved mother to Susan PATTON (Dr. Jack PATTON) of Bermuda. Cherished grandmother to Katie DUGUAY (Stéphane), Jessica PATTON (Brad KNECHTEL) and John PATTON. Great-grandmother of Matthieu DUGUAY. Dear Sister of Ken KEELEY of Barrie, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. KNEESHAW, Marjorie B. (née CRAIG)
Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Friday, July 4th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 91st year. Dearly loved wife of Milton Theron KNEESHAW and loved mother of Ray and his wife Carolyn KNEESHAW. Much loved grandmother of Rob KNEESHAW of London and Dan and his wife Melissa KNEESHAW of Saint Thomas. Loved great-grandmother of Jamie and Arlen KNEESHAW. Marjorie was born in Meaford (St. Vincent) on November 6th, 1917, the daughter of the late Robert Lorne and Clara "Myrtle" LAYCOCK) CRAIG. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 11: 00 a.m. Private family interment in Meaford Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Church of Christ or the charity of choice.

SHORT, Mona Clotilde (née BARRINGTON)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on March 18, 2008. She is survived by her husband Hugh, and their four children and their spouses, Tom and Denise (WALKER,) Katharine and Kevin (TURBITT,) John and Nicole (CLARKSON,) Hugh and Ralamy (KNEESHAW.) Mona was fondly known as Bowie to her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Alex and Connor, Keeley and Kate, John and Margaret, Avalon and Aidan will all sadly miss her. Her loss will be felt by her brother John, his partner Joy and their children Matthew, Kathleen and Stephanie, and her dear friend and sister-in-law Helen SHORT. Special thanks for the caring expertise of Drs. Mark LEVINE, Nigel COLTERJOHN and Mike STEPHENSON and the staff at the Henderson Hospital and the Juravinski Cancer Centre. A special thanks also goes to the Bob Kemp Hospice. In keeping with Mona's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
