RICE, John
At Fiddick's Nursing Home, Petrolia, on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. John RICE, 92 years, formerly of Wyoming. Loving father of Dan and Sue RICE of Wyoming. Loved grandfather to Christina and Dave FEENSTRA, Derek and Kerry RICE, Lindsey and Jace McCAHILL and 7 great-grandchildren. John was predeceased by his sisters Edith CORBETT, Lillian MONTGOMERY, Frances HAY, Ruth ROBERTS, and Laura RICE and his brothers Edward RICE and Lloyd RICE. John served his country in World War 2 with the Fourth Field Regiment, 26th Battery and later was the Wyoming Postmaster for 31 years. He was also a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 388, a member of Burns Masonic Lodge #153 and a former district deputy, and was a former member of the Wyoming Lions Club. Visitors will be received on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel, Broadway Street, Wyoming, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. Rev. Ena VAN ZOEREN officiating. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 388 will hold a memorial service Friday at 6: 30 p.m. and Burns Masonic Lodge #388 will hold a memorial service Friday at 7 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Canadian National Institute for the Blind Memories and condolences may be sent on-line at www.needhamjay.com.
