John died peacefully at home on Thursday October 12th, 2006 with the courage and dignity he has shown for eleven years. Dearly loved husband of Lois, loving father of John (Janice), Paul (Tania), Mark (Leanne), Peter (Victoria) and Robert James, deceased. Proud and devoted grandfather of Kristen, Rachel and Benjamin, Ian and Laura, Emily and Olivia and Jack and Noah. Dear brother of Carolyn (Ronald CAMERON.) Predeceased by his parents Flora and Jack HAZLETT, brother William and sister Elinor. The family wishes to thank their dear Friends and the many caregivers for their kindness and support over the last eleven years. Special thanks to Doctor Ken ADAM/ADAMS and Barbara, Danielle and Yvonne, Gregory, Kelly and Wendy for their loving care. As requested by John his body will be donated to the Anatomy Department at Queen's University. The family will receive Friends at the Robert J. Peacefully, at his home, with his family by his side, on Friday, February 10th, 2006 at the age of 63 years, Ken YEAMAN of Port Elgin. Husband of the former June ROBERTS. Father of Robert and his wife Kelly of London, and Richard and his wife Sara of Port Elgin. Grandpa to Lainie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Margaret and her husband Harry CLINGEN and Family of Toronto, and by his many cherished Friends. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13th. Funeral service will be conducted in Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin on Tuesday at 12: 00 noon with the Reverend Allan VINCENT officiating. GRAHAM, Shirley (Dr. S.M. FYLES.)
On March 14th, peacefully, at the Montreal General Hospital, at the age of eighty-one after suffering from congestive heart failure. Born May 18, 1924, daughter of Eileen Jenny YEATS and E.N. Halton FYLES, sister of Ann and Richard FYLES. Graduated M.D. from Queen's University in 1954 and practiced neurology, as well as raising a family. Later, Doctor FYLES specialized in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. At the Montreal Neurological Hospital and elsewhere she is remembered for her devotion to her patients and her selflessness. Shirley brought the same qualities to her community and volunteer work. After her children were grown, she continued to care for others, including students from abroad and foster children. She maintained an active medical practice until very recently and helped design and maintain services for Human Immunodeficiency Virus patients. Shirley was born into a challenging and changing world; she faced that world with energy and lived her life with integrity. Those close to her appreciated Shirley's ability to maintain her wry, self-deprecating sense of humour in even in the most trying situations. She is survived by five children, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grand_son. Visitation at St. George's Anglican Church, 1101 Stanley Street, Montreal Friday March 31 at 15: 00 to 19:00. Funeral service at St. George's Anglican Church, 1101 Stanley Street, Saturday April 1st, 11: 00 a.m.
