Passed away in the peace of the night at her residence in Meaford on Monday, May 22, 2006. The former Noreen SMITH in her 78th year. Beloved mother of Doris (Fred) SPROULE of Collingwood, Sandra (Jim) McNICHOL of Ravenna, Glen (Judy) of Owen Sound and Lynn RIEMERSMA of Thornbury. Predeceased by one daughter Marlene DALGARNO. Sadly missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Helen KERR of Meaford and Dawson SMITH of Port Colborne. Predeceased by sisters Blanche McLEOD, Marion McCONNELL, Florence McLAY and brothers Sherman and Arthur SMITH. Resting at the Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford. Beloved wife of the late Leslie PEPPER (1969) and Keith THORBURN (1999.) Cherished mother of Mervyn and Joy PEPPER, Hensall, Marlene and Bill HARBURN, Winthrop and Murray and Sandra PEPPER, Brussels. Fondly remembered by her five grandchildren Chris and Patricia HARBURN, Sherry HARBURN and Cheryl WELDON, Brent and Rebecca PEPPER, Kara-Lee and Brian McNICHOL and Lesley PEPPER and friend Tom COLLINS. Loving great-grandmother of five. Dear sister of Annie RAPSON, Seaforth, and sister-in-law Grace PETHICK, Winthrop. McNICHOL, Peter
Peter passed away peacefully in Toronto on Thursday 2 February 2006 after a courageous battle with Huntington's Disease at the age of 74. Peter is survived by his loving wife Lil; sons Peter and Douglas and his wife Michelle; brother Don and his wife Lois and extended family and Friends. He will be sorely missed by all he touched. A service of remembrance will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), on Monday 6 February at 7 o'clock. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Huntington Society of Canada, 151 Frederick Street, Suite 400, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 2M2 for research to help continue Peter's fight against this terrible disease.

Beloved husband for over 66 years to Margaret (FIFE) LYLE. Dearly loved father of Ronald J. LYLE and his wife Margaret of R.R.#4, Iona Station and Lois BEATY and her husband Robert "Bob" of Victoria, British Columbia. Cherished grandfather of John LYLE and his wife Doctor Rachel COOK- LYLE, Steve LYLE and his partner Sandy SAXTON, Sheila LYLE, Scott BEATY and his wife Heather, and Mark BEATY. Also survived by 3 great grand_sons, Andrew LYLE, Gregory LYLE and Henry BEATY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by an infant daughter, Joyce Marilyn LYLE (1945) and a sister, Helen McNIVEN (1981.) Born in Southwold Township, June 5, 1914, the son of the late John A. and Bessie (HUNTER) LYLE. He was a retired farmer and was noted for his work in the Cattleman's Association. Gordon was a member of First United Church, Saint Thomas since 1956, formerly being active in various capacities within the church. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in the Saint Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue.
