PATTERSON, Murray Elliott
Passed away suddenly in his 69th year on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound. Beloved husband of Jane (CALDWELL.) Dear son of the late Gordon and Luella PATTERSON. Loving father of Val McLEAN (Brad McMEEKIN,) Janine SPEAKMAN (Charlie SAMMS) and Terra Patterson VANDERBURGH (Sean.) Poppy will also be deeply missed by Grandchildren Tanya, Jeffrey (Rebecca), Suzie (Trevor) McLEAN, Ashley (Dainn), Shayne SPEAKMAN, Rylee, the late Lauren VANDERBURGH and Great-grand_son Gavin HALL. Brother of Patricia ROBINSON (the late Jack,) Jack (Carol,) Julie McGREGOR (Harry), Donna LEGGE (Vern), the late Doreen CHRISTMANN (Thom), Jim (Roberta) and Bill (Jody). Murray will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and Friends. The family will receive Friends at the Paul H. Eagleson Funeral Home, Tara on Friday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21st, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. The Tara Legion Branch 383 will hold a memorial service Friday evening at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Tara Legion Building Fund would be greatly appreciated. Unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, January 4th, 2006, in her 64th year. Beloved mother of Robin Valerie MacMASTER and Pamela Wendy ROBINSON and dear grandmother of six. Much loved sister of Al COCHRANE and Irene BILLINGER (née COCHRANE) and husband Ralph. Predeceased by her beloved mother Gladys COCHRANE (née RICE) and father Albert COCHRANE. Survived by loving aunts Olive RICE in West Sussex, England and Nellie McMEEKIN (née COCHRANE) of Bolsover, Ontario and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased also by Gramps Lorne MacMASTER. Cherished by Helen Irene MacMASTER. Sadly missed by Robert MacMASTER and siblings Lorne and his wife Ellie, Jimmy and Connie. Special thanks to the Neighbourhood Info Centre. Valerie will be very sadly missed by all. Family and Friends may call at the Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre on Thursday, January 19, 2006, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral service immediately following. ABEL, Helen " Margaret" (née FIFE)
Of Saint Thomas, on Friday, July 14, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of over 55 years of Lawrence Alan ABEL and loved mother of Lynn and her husband Leonard FIRMANI, Larry Wilfrid and his wife Jill ABEL, Patricia McBAIN, and Diane and her husband Joe LUNN, all of Saint Thomas, Alan ABEL of Guelph and Douglas and his wife Laura ABEL of Fergus. Loved sister of Audrey DENNY of Saint Thomas, Marion GILCHRIST of Saint Thomas, Jean IRWIN of Long Point and Donna VIRAG of Fingal. Predeceased by 3 sisters Mary FERGUSON, Verna DONALDSON and Patricia McMENEMY. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Marg was born in Talbotville on March 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Dorothy (HARRIS) FIFE. She worked at the Memorial Hospital. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 3: 30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembances may be made to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital (Palliative Care Unit).

Peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on February 24, 2006 in his 73rd year. Loving husband and best friend for 50 years to Patricia (née TUCK.) Much loved father of Debbie ZINK (John), Karen VAN DER ZALM (Anthony), Mark PULCINE (Julia) and Cathy McMENEMY (Steve.) Cherished grandfather of Lindsay, Ashley, Matthew, Danielle, Michael, Kaitlyn and Charlize, and great-grandfather of Halle. Will be sadly missed by brother Jim and his wife Veronica. He will be missed by his little friend Kelsey. Don was an active member of the finance committee of the Diocese of Peterborough under the direction of The Most Rev. Nicholas DE ANGELIS, C.F.I.C., D.D. He was a member of St. Paul's Parish in Gravenhurst and an active member of the Knights of Columbus in which he served as the Grand Knight for two years. Family and Friends are invited for a visitation on Monday February 27, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, 2241 New St. (at Drury Lane) 905-637-5233. A Wake Service will take place on Monday at 3: 00 p.m. from the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. from St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Carpenter Hospice for their compassion and support through this difficult time.
