Dear father of Andy VERSCHUREN (Rose-Marie) of Guelph, Paul John VERSCHUREN (Debbie) of Port Perry, Miriam McCLINCHEY (Derrick) of London, Stephen VERSCHUREN (Denise) of Burlington and Robert VERSCHUREN of Oakville. Loving grandfather of Michelle, Kelly, Laura, Madison, Jesse, Caitlin, Steph, William and Kayla. Great-grandfather of Aiden. Also survived by four sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews in Holland. Predeceased by his son Rick (1989) and by two sisters and one brother. Peacefully, at Seaforth Manor, on Sunday, March 5, 2006, Agnes Catherine (ADAM/ADAMS) McCLINCHEY, beloved wife of the late Garnet McCLINCHEY (1984) passed away in her 96th year. Agnes was born in McKillop Township on March 31, 1910, daughter of Robert and Mabel (McCLURE) ADAM/ADAMS and stepmother Nellie BAKER. Loving mother of Jack and wife Barbara of Calgary; Bill and wife Barbara of London; Maybelle and her husband Ian CROCKWELL of Bermuda; Dorothy and her husband Keith MacDONALD of Edmonton; Grant and (friend) Irene McCANN of Grand Bend and Don and his wife Gail of St. Malo, Manitoba. Loved and sadly missed by 36 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Also, dearly missed by daughter-in-law Edith (Keith) McCLINCHEY of Seaforth. Predeceased by her son Keith; daughter Betty; stepson Beverley and wife Gloria; grand_son Charles SCOTT; step-grand_son Randy of Bayfield; her sister Beatrice FORRESTER; half sisters Edna PHILLIPS and Violet NEEB and brothers John ADAM/ADAMS and Jim ADAM/ADAMS. Agnes was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge and the Ladies Orange Lodge. She was also well known in Seaforth and district for her fine food she served at her restaurants at the Supertest and later at McClinchey's Restaurant. Agnes will be remembered as a compassionate, loving, generous person by all those that knew her. Funeral service will be held at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth on Friday March 10, at 2 p.m., with visitations at the funeral home between 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Marguerite was born January 2, 1910 in North Bay, Ontario; Entered the convent Les Sisters de l'Assumption on August 15, 1929 as Sister Marguerite Therese. Predeceased by her sister Corinne CLARE (1997.) Sadly missed by her nieces Carolyn LAPTHORNE and her husband Brian, Marguerite MOFFAT and her husband Jim, Jo-Ann McCLINCHEY and Mary CLARE. Cherished by several great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great-nieces and nephews. Visitors will be received at Our Lady of Hope Chapel, Mount Hope Centre for Long-Term Care, 21 Grosvenor Street, on Saturday morning from 10 o'clock until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Devoted mother of Derrick McCLINCHEY and his wife Miriam of London; Debbie GILES and her husband Gord ROSS of Lambeth; and Jeff McCLINCHEY and his wife Jeanette of London. Loving sister of Thelma NIVENS and her husband Earl of Goderich; Shirley BEECH of Kitchener; George McDONALD and his wife Dorothy of Wiarton; Bruce McDONALD and his wife Nora of Vegreville, Alberta; and Matt McDONALD of Prince George, British Columbia. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Barbara McDONALD; her sister Lillian Patterson and her brother-in-law Carl Beech.
