JOHANSON, Anna Maria (née UTAS)
Formerly of Trethewey Dr., Weston. Our mother passed away Monday April 24th, 2006, in her 88th year, following a long illness. She is survived by her daughters Sandra and Ingrid and her sons Lee and Nils, also by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. We would like to invite our Friends and neighbours to celebrate our mother's life with a memorial service at The Church of St. David, 1796 Lawrence Ave. W., Toronto on Saturday April 29th at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.

(September 6, 1924-April 5, 2006)
Passed away peacefully at Sunrise Assisted Living, Erin Mills. Survived by her husband, Charles, of 52 years, her daughter Karen (John HARRY,) and grandchildren, Trevor and Taylor THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON- HARRY, and her son Sean (Erika UTITZ,) and her sister Gretta MORRIS, of Omagh, and her brother Thomas CORRIGAN (Ena,) of Antrim, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Kevin, her parents Nathaniel and Sarah CORRIGAN (WARD,) and siblings John, Packy, Natty, Kay, Angela, Mary and Babs. Raised at "The Shore", Clonatrig, Eniskillen, N. Ireland, where she attended Teachers' College. Charles and Rosaleen moved to Toronto in 1954, and retired to Santa Barbara, California in 1979, and moved to Victoria, British Columbia in 2001, before returning to Ontario in 2005. Friends may call at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. S., Erin, on Sunday, April 9th, from 2: 00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday, April 10th from 7: 00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint_John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 24 Millwood, Erin, on Tuesday, April 11th at 11: 00 a.m., with reception to follow at David's Restaurant, Erin. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

At Trillium Court, Kincardine, on Wednesday January 4, 2005, Wilfred PENTLAND of Goderich and formerly of Dungannon in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (MacDONALD) PENTLAND. Dear father of Norma CROCKETT of Kincardine, Carol and Bob ANDREW of Kincardine, Rodene UTLEY and Duane WADDINGTON of Kincardine, Lori and Greg BAER of Goderich and the late Larry PENTLAND and Donald PENTLAND. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by daughter-in-law Nellie CLAYTON of Belgrave. Predeceased by grand_son Michael PENTLAND, sisters Margaret PRITCHARD, Claire FOSTER and brothers Benson, Frank, Laverne, Alan and Ronald PENTLAND. The family will receive Friends at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd., at East Street, Goderich on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon at 1: 30 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Dungannon United Church gratefully acknowledged. Peacefully, at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, surrounded by his family, on Sunday May 28, 2006, age 68. Beloved husband of Mary (née HAIGHT) UTTING. Dear father of Amy and her fiancé Mark RILEY of Burlington, son Warren of Orangeville. Grandpa Steve to Addie. Brother of Ellen “Gussie” UTTING of Texas, U.S.A. Steve was a great antique car enthusiast. A special thank you to everyone at Carpenter Hospice for their kindness, generosity and compassion. Steve will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and Friends. Private cremation. A Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Peacefully at home on Sunday, January 8, 2006, Doctor Howard Calvin FRIESEN of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Mary (TOWNSHEND) FRIESEN. Dear brother of Leona FRIESEN, Eleanor (Art) WILSON, Colin (Muriel) FRIESEN and Douglas (Doreen) FRIESEN. Predeceased by his parents Abram and Elisa FRIESEN, sister Luetta SHARPLEY and brothers Alfred and Gordon. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews, especially Bill SHARPLEY. Dear brother-in-law of John (Ruth) TOWNSHEND, Betty TOWNSHEND, Robert (Pat) TOWNSHEND, Betty (Bob) FOSTER, Barbara (Gordon) ULLERICK, Peggy UTTING and Nancy LOUGHEED. Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Bishop William and Mrs. Kathleen TOWNSHEND and sister-in-law Eleanor MONTURE and brother-in-law Bill and Jim TOWNSHEND. Howard was a graduate in medicine from University of Western Ontario. He served in the medical corps for peaceful duties in Italy. Howard practiced in the field of psychiatry in Cleveland and in Woodstock. He retired from active practice in 1978. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Wednesday, January 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral, 472 Richmond St. at Queens Ave. on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Robert TOWNSHEND officiating. Interment Saint John's Cemetery, Arva. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or London Regional Cancer Centre. Irene ALLISON (HAWKINS) in her 93rd year, passed away at Longworth on February 1, 2006. At peace now and reunited with her beloved husband Geoffrey (1987,) dear brother-in-law Ernie CUMBERLAND and cherished Friends Kit and Frank PROCTOR. Past memories fondly shared by daughters Sheila BAKER (Jack,) and Joan PETRIE (Wayne.) Much loved grandmother to Timothy (Shawn) BAKER, Kathryn BAKER Matthew, Jeffrey, Allison PETRIE; proud great-grandmother to Alice and Callum BAKER. Sadly missed by sisters Beatrice CUMBERLAND (Alliston) and Eleanor DURRANT (Brantford.) Aunt to Margaret Anne PLAXTON, Bill CUMBERLAND, Gail CUMBERLAND, Dawn PARDY and Robin DURRANT and great-aunt to many loved nieces and nephews. Respected friend and mentor to many young people, neighbours and co-workers. Born in Tecumseth Township; Graduated from University of Toronto (1933); Former Director of Occupational Therapy at London Psychiatric Hospital; Part time Lecturer and Clinical Instructor at University of Western Ontario; Member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, Anglican Church Women, Christ Church (Forest); Member of the Forest Nursing Home Association Recipient of the Ontario Long Term Care Association's Lifetime Achievement Award (2004). Irene retired to the family cottage at Glendale Beach, Forest where she enjoyed happy family times and her favourite hobbies; bird watching, reading, cooking and gardening until the year 2001. Sincere gratitude to all the staff at Longworth Long Term Care, Dr. J.M. JORDAN, Dr. S. UTTLEY, Rev. N. WELLS (Sarnia), Dr. L. GIBBS and staff (Thedford), Home Care and supporting agencies (Forest) and Helping Hands Plus (London) for their compassion and support during the many difficulties of our mother's aging process. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3: 00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 7th, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph UTTLEY and the former Maude HULLEY and a sister Eileen GREER/GRIER and her husband Glen. She is the dear aunt of Glenda EVANS and Clare of Utica, Michigan, Brian GREER/GRIER and Linda of R.R.#2, Petersburg and Wendy ARMSTRONG and Barrie of Saint Marys. Sadly missed by many great nieces and great nephews. Resting at the L.A. Suddenly but peacefully at home on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Pat. Cherished father of Ann and her husband Charlie TAILOR/TAYLOR. Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Matthew, and "Dador" to Jessica. Dearly loved brother of Don and Bill (deceased). Warmly remembered by sisters-in-law Joy and Maureen and brother-in-law Ray and their families. A friendly face to most of Ajax.
