MOFFATT, Joan Marie (née FLANNERY) (1926-2006)
Passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home with her family at her side on Monday, March 27, 2006. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late James MOFFATT (October 2005.) Predeceased by her parents, Ambrose FLANNERY and Marjorie FITZMAURICE and younger brother Patrick FLANNERY. She is survived by her sisters Betty SWANEK, Donna JOHNSON and Shirley RIGBY (Tye:) her four children Maureen SQUIBB (Wayne), Marilyn KRAM (Robert), Gary MOFFATT (Lorri) and Greg MOFFATT (Dr. Vivian LIU) and her adored grandchildren Cristin, (Adam) Jessica, Elizabeth, Geoffrey, Jonathan, James, Jaclyn, Allison, Bryan, Jordan and Clare. Born in London, Ontario, raised in Toronto, Joan graduated from Saint_Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 as a registered nurse. She enjoyed life in St. Catharines for over 56 years as an active member of the St. Catharines Golf and Curling Club, Rodman Hall and the Rotary Club. Joan also loved her many years of traveling with family and Friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines. (905-684-6346). The family will receive Friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 10: 00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church, 3 Lyman Street, St. Catharines. A private burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. As an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be to the Alzheimer's Society of Niagara, Linhaven Home or the charity or your choice. The family is most grateful for the special care and compassion from the staff of Martindale Section/Henley Regatta House of Linhaven Home. A donation has been made to the Hulse and English Memorial Forest towards the greening of St. Catharines.

Loving mom of Albert, Keith, Bill, Jennifer, Deborah and Mark. Dear sister of Flo WHITE/WHYTE and Margery BATHURST. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grand_son. At his residence on Thursday, March 30, 2006. Edgar H. SAUNDERS of London in his 89th year. Predeceased by his first wife Vera M. (SMITH) in March 1960 and by his second wife Jessie (DEGRAW / SQUIRE) in April 2001. Loved father of Edward "Ted" SAUNDERS and Joseph SAUNDERS and his wife Diana all of London. Step-father of Leonard DEGRAW and his wife Sharon of R.R.#1 Saint Thomas and Frank DEGRAW of London. Loved grandfather of David, Cathy, Dan and Nancy. Also loved by his 9 great-grandchildren. Edgar was born in Saint Thomas, February 10, 1918. He was the son of Edgar and Ellen Rose (HOPE) SAUNDERS. He worked for Labatt Ontario Breweries for 36 years (affectionately known as "The Kernel"). He was a special Dad to Elaine LORENTZ of Mildmay and Jane COLLISON of Dresden and a special friend of Myrna FOAT of London. The family will receive Friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the complete funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday, April 1st at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Morley CLARKE officiating. CROKER, Gailer Ernest (1917-2006)
Gailer (Pop) CROKER, of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2006, at the age of 89 years. Gailer is survived and will be lovingly missed by his wife of sixty six years, Gertrude sons Gail (Bernice) and Gary; grandchildren David (Dorothy), Sherry (Armand), Lavallee, Mark, Jennifer and Joseph; as well as four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joyce SQUIRE of Norwich, Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gailer was predeceased by his brother Sammy, sister Iva, and two grandchildren, Peter John and Patty. Dear son of Margaret (FERGUSON) PATTERSON of Saint Thomas and the late Ivan PATTERSON (2001.) Loved brother of Donald and his wife Katherine PATTERSON and their children Kaitlin and Jennifer of Saint Thomas. Son-in-law of Jean SQUIRE of Mitchell and the late Lloyd SQUIRE. Brother-in-law of Lynn and her husband Maynard HOEGY of Brodhagen, John and his wife Sandra SQUIRE of Stayner and Mark and his wife Donna SQUIRE of Cambridge. Sadly missed by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. Rod was born in Saint Thomas on June 8, 1958. He was a graduate of Parkside Collegiate Institute. Peacefully, in Grimsby on Thursday September 7, 2006 at the age of 95 years. Dear husband for more than 60 years of the late Phyllis Marion (née EVANS). Beloved father of William W. KING (Judith) of Saint Mary's, Roberta-Jean King SQUIRE (Ronald) of Toronto and Lindy-Ann RANGER (Marc) of Wakefield, Quebec. Loving grandfather of John W. KING (Terri), Katherine KING (Clark HARROP), David P. SQUIRE, Andrew E. SQUIRE, Oliver J. SQUIRE, Leon A. RANGER, Hannah Marie RANGER (Denis DROUIN) and Lewis R. RANGER (Amy.) Great-grandfather of Leia Shea Drouin, baby Jack RANGER and Mike, Mark, Adam and Bryanne MEAD. Born and raised in Manitoba, Jack served as Vice President of Texaco Canada prior to retirement in 1976. He also served as President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in 1973 and 1974. He and Phyllis made many Friends while living in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto and in their retirement in Grimsby. He was an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Cremation has taken place. It was your comforting words and deeds that has helped us through this most difficult time. A special thank you to Chris and Georgina BUZANIS, Jim BUZANIS, Chris and Effie TSANTILAS for their generosity and comfort to us. We thank our dear Friends, neighbours and co-workers for the home visits, charitable donations, gift of food, cards and floral tributes.
