SKRABA, Richard John
Died peacefully on November 28th, 2006 at the age of 58. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Claudette; his children: Carrie Ann (Randy TIPPINS) of Thunder Bay, Shannon SKRABA of Sudbury, Penny Lee (Rocky JACQUES) of Temiskaming Shores, Christine LAJOIE- SKRABA and David SKRABA of London; his grandchildren: Brianna and Samantha (JACQUES) and William (TIPPINS;) his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousin Sandra MARK and other cousins. Also missed by his mother Rose SKRABA and by his sister Angey SABOURIN both of Sudbury. Richard is predeceased by his much loved in-laws Bernard and Therese GABOURY of Temiskaming Shores as well as his father John SKRABA of Sudbury. Richard taught for the London School Board until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed golf from early spring to late fall with his golf buddy Red, and also bowled with the Pedagogue league for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 13th from 6: 00-7:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday December 13th, 2006 at 7: 00 p.m. At Richard's request and in accordance with the wishes of his family, please do not send flowers. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Richard are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the London Health Sciences Foundation -- Cancer Centre.

Peacefully at the North York General Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2006. Helen loving wife of the late Fred. Dear mother to Gloria Anne SKRABEC (John), Mary Catherine, David and Anne Louise (Gary) David CAPELAZO (Karen), and Margaret; Mary Louise BATH (David), Peter and Nicole; Fredric CAPELAZO, and Christian and Melanie. Great-grandmother of 6. Predeceased by Mary TRACEY and Joseph VIRIO. Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Complete Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 9: 30 a.m at Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 3200 Pharmacy Ave. (north of Finch). Passed away peacefully on December 25, 2006 in her 77th year after a battle with Lewy Body Disease. Maggie was a loving mother to 3 daughters, Kathleen (David KIDD,) Sarah (Ed SKRABEK) and Beth (John McMULLEN.) She will be greatly missed by her brother David MILNER (Betty) of Calgary and by her grandchildren, Colleen, Heather and Alex KIDD and Elizabeth and David SKRABEK. The family will receive Friends at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street), on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Grace Church on-the-Hill (300 Lonsdale Road), on Saturday at 12 noon, reception to follow. Many thanks to the Friends and caregivers who helped with her struggle, particularly Julie BUDZIN and Marlene CARSCALLEN, the staff at Briton House, and the palliative care team and the wonderful people of 4C at Sunnybrook Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bishop Strachan School, Grace Church on-the-Hill, and the Alzheimer's Society (earmarked research).

Peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Scarborough Centenary Hospital, Leda, age 79, beloved wife of the late John Joseph CASHABACK. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Sam. Treasured Mother of Barbara and Mary Ann. Dear sister of Steve (Mary) of Niagara Falls and the late Tom. Sister-in-law of Walter, Helen and Eddie and the late Bill, Mike and Ambrose. Dearest aunt of Bev, Tom, Jimmy, Betty Ann, Dom and Randy, and she also leaves her many great-nieces and nephews. Leda will also be missed by her cat "Smokey". Friends may call at Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (N. of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Friday, April 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to commemorate Leda's life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 3: 00 p.m., followed by a reception at Pine Hills. SKRETTEBERG, Arne
Peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2006 in Rainy River, Ontario in his 89th year. Born in Arnot, Norway, Arne fell in love with his wife-to-be, Irene, and Canada while posted in Toronto (and later Muskoka) at "Little Norway" serving as Sergeant in the Norwegian Air Force 1940-1945. An accomplished ski jumper and Track and Field athlete in his early years and later an avid bowler, he loved all sports. His patience and good-natured spirit was beyond reproach and he leaves many fond memories for both family and Friends alike. A Good Soul has passed from our midst. Takk For Alt.

Promoted to glory after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 30th, 2006 at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, Klaas Derk HOLMAN of Mount Brydges, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Harmke HOLMAN. Loving father of Fred (Angie) HOLMAN, Anita VERHULP (Fernando), Lois (Henry) GRIFFIOEN, Walter (Nelia) HOLMAN and Angela (Gregory) SKROBAR. It is with broken hearts we tell you that the kindest, most caring woman on earth left our loving arms to be with her heavenly family on Christmas Eve. Best Friends and loving wife of Robert LIVINGSTONE for 57 years. Adoring and devoted mother of Susan, Dale (Tom REINHARDT), Jace (Dana), James (Noel), Joedy, Jeremy (and friend Jane SHERK.) Proud grandmother of Ryan (Melissa,) Mark, David (friend Karrie), Nicholas, Robert and Natasha. Special great-grandmother to Ty LIVINGSTONE. Predeceased by her son Guy Edward and daughter Mary Lynn and her mother and father Rose (1981) and Fred (1983) MEIROWSKI. Brothers-in-law James (Mickey) LIVINGSTONE (1992), Chuck COLLINS (1994,) Larry VOISIN (1996,) Tom LIVINGSTONE (1999,) special uncle Wilbert (Buddy) HUBER (1999.) With the newest member of Heaven's Angels there will never be a falling hem or a hungry belly in all of Heaven now that Helen has arrived. Her earthly credentials are many. Helen spent endless hours coordinating the efforts of the Laurentian Knitting and Quilting Group. Her dedication and tireless efforts for the Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre will be greatly missed and her kind hearted work for the St. Vincent De Paul Sandwich Project serving up meals to the less fortunate of our community will be greatly missed. When there was a need Helen was always there to serve. Helen's family will receive relatives and Friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Parish Prayers at 8: 30 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 at St. Francis R.C. Church (49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener.) Father Joseph DEVIVEIROS officiating. Cremation has taken place.
