A resident of Chatham. Ann DERUITER died suddenly at her home on Thursday March 16, 2006 at the age of 75. Born in Grijpskerk, The Netherlands daughter of the late Libbe and Wietske VAN DYK) HAZENBERG. Beloved wife of George DERUITER of Chatham and the late Harm Lucas DEKENS (1986.) Dear mother of Lena and Peter VANDYKE, Chatham; Marg and Ted POSTMA, Chatham; Faye and Dave VAN KESTEREN, Chatham; Clarence and Ingrid DEKENS, Clinton; and Leroy and Patricia DEKENS, Telkwa, British Columbia. Grandmother of 20 and Great Grandmother of 15. Sister of Henry and Marion HAZENBERG, Chatham; Coba and Marcus KRYGER, Smithers, British Columbia; and the late Wiemer HAZENBERG and infant sister Antje HAZENBERG. Sister-in-law of Ena HAZENBERG, Holland. Step-mother of Harry and Cathy DERUITER; John and Clare DERUITER; Dave and Linda DERUITER and Pete and Elaine DERUITER all of Collingwood. Step-Grandmother of 7. MANTEL, Peter (May 8, 1927-October 9, 2006)
The family of Peter MANTEL are mourning the loss of a much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Peacefully Peter passed away in his sleep with his family at his side, after a long battle with cancer. He will be missed by his dear wife, Evelyn (née WYBENGA,) son Cornelius (Ruth;) daughter Patricia (John KONING;) son Michael (Karen;) daughter Pamela (David DEN OUDEN;) and daughter Melinda (John KRYK.) Loving grandfather of Joel, David, Jessica, Christopher, Matthew, Nicole, Gerrit, Russell, Carson and Abigail. Peter will be fondly remembered by brothers John and James and sisters Carol, Dorothy, Tina, and Elly, and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waterdown, Ontario - on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Visitation will be at 10: 00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. 606 Dundas Street, East, Waterdown (corner of Hwy 5 and Kerns Rd.) Of Saint Thomas, passed away at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, September 30, 2006, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Donald W. BEER (Mar. 2, 2003.) Loving mother of Linda LEE and her husband Greg of London, Richard BEER and Gerald BEER, both of R.R.#3, Saint Thomas. Dear grandmother of Trisha MORRIS and her fiancé Jason GROUETTE, Steven LEE and his fiancée Joanna REGAN, and great grandmother of Benjamin and Thomas LEE, all of London. Sadly missed by her sister, Mary DUDDER, her brother, Walter MELNYK and his wife Mary, all of Calgary, Alberta and sister-in-law, Muriel SUCH of Saint Thomas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan, October 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Samko and Annie KRYSAK) MELNYK. She was a former employee of Singer Controls, Saint Thomas. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Cherished grandma of David TUTTY and Anna VENTRESCA, Douglas and Lisa TUTTY, Dawna and Brett JONES, Dennis and Karin DYCHE, Kenneth DYCHE, Kristine DYCHE, James KRYWAN, Kelly CHIPPENDALE, and Laura HODGE. Beloved wife of the late Walter Mrozowski (February 5, 1991) and dearly loved mother of Helen HOWICK of Saint Thomas and Anna MROZOWSKI of Toronto. Loved grandmother of Tyler and Jason HOWICK and great grandmother of Ethan. Dear sister of Mary KRYWYCH of Beamsville. Also survived by a number of relatives in the Ukraine. Nadia was born in the Ukraine on April 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Ivan and Frances LES. She came to Canada in 1948 and was a member of Holy Angels' Church. A private family service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Wednesday morning at 11: 00 a.m. No public visitation. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.
