Born in Garvagh, Ireland, Etta was married for over 60 years to loving husband John, who died only a short four months ago. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Susan LYNCH, her brothers Jim, Bruce, Huey, Sam and Walker and her loving daughter Linda SMALLWOOD. Dear mother of Donna MOORE and her husband Carter of London, Jim MILLS and his wife Donna of Kitchener, Laura FOWLER and her husband Frank, Gary MILLS and his wife Barb all of London. Loved mother-in-law of John SMALLWOOD of Goderich. Violet graduated as an R.N. from the Ontario Hospital in London in 1932. She nursed in London, Whitby and Woodstock, before marrying in 1942, and spending 45 years in Dereham Centre. She retired from nursing at Parkwood Hospital in London in 1972. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the A. Gordon is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Karen and her husband, Len ROSS, of North Bay and by his son, Barry and his wife, Valorie, of Washago. He will be greatly missed by his two grandchildren, Joanne and David ROSS. He was the dearly loved and respected father of Margaret PULFORD (Ross), Doctor Elizabeth HUNT (Dr. Clyde HILLIER) of London, Ontario, Dr. John HUNT (Sandra DESCHAMP) of Ethel, Ontario and Douglas E. HUNT Jr. (Susan.) He is also survived by 10 grandchildren Christopher PULFORD, Anne Pulford FEDJ (Damian), Morgan HILLIER, Leah HILLIER, Carla HUNT, Bryce HUNT, Brett HUNT, Cayli HUNT, Douglas E. HUNT III and Rebecca HUNT. He is a special great-grandfather to Victor FEDJ. He is also survived by his sister Audrey HARE and nephew Donald HARE (Karen.) He was predeceased by his brother William HUNT. Doctor HUNT practiced medicine in St. Catharines as a family physician and surgeon for 59 years. He graduated from meds at the University of Toronto, Class of 4T6 (1946). He was the recipient of many awards including the Govenor Generals Caring Canadian Award (2003). He was active in many associations and was a Past President of the Canadian College of Family Physicians. Doctor HUNT was devoted to his patients and felt that it was a privilege to serve them. His service to his patients can be summed up in his own words. "As doctors, we cure some, help some, help others, and hopefully comfort all." Doctor HUNT wanted to thank his staff for their kindness and dedication throughout the years. Doctor HUNT's family would like to thank Doctor Dennis WHITTY for his special care and compassion, Doctor M. SAMOSH and all the health care workers who helped him through his final days. Cherished grandmother of Janine, Jeffrey and Bradley SMITH of Lambeth, Robin SCHUBERT and wife Pauline of Woodstock and Malinda COLLINS and husband Marty of Owen Sound. Along his life's road, Tom formed countless deep and lasting relationships and touched the lives of people all over the world. Peacefully on October 29th, 2006 in her 93rd year at the Rekai Centre where she was very well cared for over the past 3 years. Survived by her children, Roger SAMPSON/SAMSON, Brooke BURNETT and Scott SAMPSON/SAMSON. Mother-in-law to Margaret (Maggie) SAMPSON/SAMSON and John (Sandy) BURNETT. Grandmother to Jennifer, Christopher, Peter, Patrick SAMPSON/SAMSON and Catherine BURNETT. Great-grandmother to Ryanne and Liam SAMPSON/SAMSON. She was a wonderful mother and friend. She always had a wonderful smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was very involved in Rosedale United Church and a great supporter and canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society. She gave blood to the Canadian Red Cross Society whenever and wherever they required it until she was no longer young enough to do so. She was a volunteer for Princess Margaret Hospital, Meals on Wheels and many others over the years. She spent the last few years at the Drs. Paul and John Rekai Centre and we thank them for all their kindness and care to her while she was there. She requested that there not be a funeral service and in lieu of flowers please send donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Salvation Army or The Rekai Centre.
