On Monday, March 14, 2005 at Sunnybrook Hospital in her 88th year, after an extended illness. Beloved mother of Marjorie BURTNICK (husband Dan) and Ronald. Cherished and much loved Baba (grandmother) of Adrienne, Jim, David (and his wife Sarah BROOKS,) Paul, Robin, Regan, Nicole; great-grandmother of eight. Loving sister of Mary JOYCE, Anne HOLOWATY, Agnes MAGNAN, Joan McCARTHY, Nick KALO and Mike PUKALO. Predeceased by brothers John, William, Peter and Fred PUKALO. Special Thanks to the many caregivers for their kindness and compassionate care during her hospitalization. Visitation at Murray E. Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd., on Thursday, March 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, March 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. with Panachyda (prayer services) at 6: 30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church (corner of Broadview and Bain) at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 19. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Renovation Fund of Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 Broadview Ave., Toronto, Ontario, M4K 2N6.

CHRISTIAANS, Martin
It is with great sorrow, we mourn the passing of Martin, our loving husband, father and grandfather. He died peacefully in his 85th year, in the presence of his wife and family, after having enjoyed a long, healthy life. He will be greatly missed by his dear wife of 51 years, Pauline. Loving father (grandfather) of Marty and his wife Pat (Paul and Ben); Peter and his wife Tammy (Daniel and his wife Tara, Samantha and Stacey); Mary and her husband Blair ROBERTSON (Matt); Joe and his wife Brenda (Ella and Charlotte;) Betty and her husband Kevin DOREY (Kristen and Liam); Paula; Vince and his partner Rita (Jen, Shawn and Alycia) Angela and her husband Rob PUKLICZ (Amanda.) Brother of Harry and his wife Celia; Gerrit and his wife Truus; Marietje and her late husband Antoon; the late Antoon and his wife Marietje; the late Mies and his wife Annie; the late Dina and her husband Martin the late Leis and Theo, Anna and Jan, Bert and Miet, and Wilhemina and Tien. Uncle of many nieces and nephews in Holland and the late Pete JANS and his wife Mary, and family in London, Mary, Wilma and her partner John, Gerald and his wife Anne, Margaret and her husband John, and Andrew and his wife Kim. He enjoyed the fellowship of St. George's Parish Community. Martin set a shining example to his children and grandchildren, as a faithful Christian, loving husband and hardworking provider. He readily shared his sense of humour, a kind, gentle word and a welcoming smile to his Friends and family. Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers being held at 8: 30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George's Roman Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Thursday, October 27th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment, St. Peter's Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Martin are asked to consider the charity of your choice.

MILICS, Veronika (née PUKSE)
Veronika (née PUKSE) passed away at home in Barrow Bay, on Saturday May 7th, 2005. She was born on February 17, 1906 in Latvia. Predeceased by her husband Arvids and son Gunars. Beloved Mom and Omi is survived by sons Imants and his wife Solveiga, Talivaldis and his wife Helen, grandchildren John, Deborah, Adrian and Taryn, greatgrandchildren Tija, James and Elissa, foster daughters Jutta and Irene JAUNZEMIS of Australia. Daughter-in-law Elga MILICS of Barrow Bay and grand_son Mario MILICS and his wife Caroline of Duttona Beach. Cremation and private family service.
