Husband of Jill ROOTE; father of Brittany, Hunter and Cambridge, all at home; son of Mary and the late Gerald ROOTE; brother of Michele and her husband, Bruce PUDDESTER, of Kitchener, Darlene CARTER, of Saugeen, Alan and his wife, Krista, of Edmonton, Stuart, of Arizona and Holly and her husband, Charles FONTAINE, of Winnipeg. Survived by nephew, Jordan ROOTE and by eighteen nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, Larry in 1971. Private family visitation. Family and Friends are invited to attend his funeral service to be conducted at the James Mason Cultural Centre, Saugeen First Nation, on Thursday morning, January 27th, at 11: 00 a.m., with Father Frank McGEE officiating. 90 years, Tuesday, September 13th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph Health Centre. Beloved wife of Richard PUDDICOMBE and Robert McKENZIE, both predeceased. Loving mother of Shirley HERRON (Al) of Sudbury, Marie MOORE (Don, predeceased) of Toronto, Marg McLEOD (Ron) of Barrie, predeceased by Jean JACKSON (Rudy) and Kathleen LONGLADE (Walt.) Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of David (Zita) of Penetang, predeceased by Alma, Fred, Pet and Delima. Florence was born in Penetang, Ontario. She enjoyed fishing, cards, reading, crocheting and scratch tickets. At Florence's request, there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation. It is with great sadness the family announces that John Alexander RANKIN, age 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2005, in the presence of his family after a long struggle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (PUDDISTER,) and his mother-in-law, Pauline PUDDISTER. Loving father, of Jennifer, Andreina, Barry, Sara and son-in-law Terry. Papa of Joshua, Kyle, Emily and Taylor. Dearly missed by his sisters Betty MELZER, Jo-Anne (Maurice) LAKE, and Marilyn (David) THAIN. John was predeceased by his parents Mina (2000) and John (1987). Born in London, he attended Princess Elizabeth Public School and G.A. Wheable Secondary. He lived in Pickering, Ontario for most of his adult life. Funeral service was held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering on Tuesday December 27, 2005. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.

She is predeceased by her very close cousin Mary D. PUDDY (née PECK.) She will be fondly remembered by Mary's children Vicki CAPLAN of Florida, Silvio MacPHERSON of Belleville and James PUDDY of Orillia and his wife Ann and their daughters Paula and Jennifer. Ruth is also predeceased by her cousin Dorothy LEE of Belleville. We extend a heartfelt thank you to her special Friends Patricia (Toni) KENT and Grace WATSON. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W.
