KARNAC, Leslie
It is with great sorrow, that the family announces Les' passing, peacefully in his sleep, around midnight, on October 2, 2005, at Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga Site, at the age of 81. At last he has been reunited with his beloved wife Helen in heaven, who left him much too early at the age of 59. Predeceased by his loving parents John and Anne KRNAC. Will always be a cherished "Daddy" to his 4 adoring daughters: Jean (Mike COGHLAN,) Linda (Joe O'CONNOR), Debbie (Bernie STEVENSON) and Peggy (Chris KRYGIEL). Proud Grampa of Melissa, Cynthia, John, Matthew, Alex and Anne. Big brother of Olga (John KOLESAR) and "Unc" to Richard (Marija) and Lianna. Loving brother-in-law to Rose MASSÉ and her 5 children. In his later years, he was blessed to have Jean THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON become a part of his life and was welcomed by her family as part of theirs. Words cannot express the joy and comfort her companionship brought to his life. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 17 and flew in Lancasters as a Navigator in World War 2, and was awarded several medals for his contributions. Later he became a national marketing manager with Bell and Howell and in later years opened his own business. Former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and former president of the Holy Name Society. He also joined several other service clubs. He loved big band music, hockey, stamp collecting, painting, cooking, and most of all laughing. He will always be remembered as a constant source of optimism and a joy to spend time with. He lived life with gusto as evidenced by the sparkle in his eye. Friends will be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W. (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 3914 Bloor Street W., Etobicoke, on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
