Peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie with his family by his side, on Sunday, September 11, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Delores PHILLIPS. Loving father of James DAVISON (Carol) of Acton, Barbara EWERT (Robert) of Toronto, Sheila McHARDY (Jim) of Barrie and John DAVISON (Lucyanne) of London, Ontario. Grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of one. Brother to Joan DAVISON, Jean YOUNG, Cliff DAVISON, Gord DAVISON and the late Elizabeth (Bett) IMRAY. Service will be held in the chapel of the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (Clapperton and Worsley Streets), Barrie, on Wednesday, September 14th at 11: 00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, on Tuesday, July 26th, 2005, Mrs. Florence "Flossie" IMRIE of London in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of 65 years to George "Dod" IMRIE. Dear sister of May DRAKE of Ramsgate, England. Also sadly missed by dear Friends, John DRIVER, Bernice LUDLOW, and Frieda MEIHOFENER. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 29th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. At Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, October 24, 2005, Katherina MOOSER (DIENESCH) of Saint Thomas, and formerly of West Lorne, in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1989). She was a valued member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saint Thomas. Lovingly remembered by her sons Michael and his wife Helen of West Lorne, Andy and his wife Sharon of Corunna, John and his wife Evelyn of Belmont, Wally of Saint Thomas and Henry and his wife Ruth of West Lorne; grandchildren Amy (Bill) SCHNEIDER, Andrew (Suzanne) and their daughter Lauren, Jeff (Stephanie) and their son Ethan, Jenni (Pat) PINELLI and their daughter Alessia, Jamie, Michael, Danielle, David, Ericka, Shaun (Nicole) and their son Tyler and Krista. Also survived by brother John ANTONUK and his wife Lisa and nieces Sandy (Steve) IMRIE and Linda (Scott) DUNN. IMRIE, Ian Gordon
Born in Kitchener, Ontario on June 21st, 1929, died on his 76th birthday at the Ottawa General Hospital. Long time public servant: Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the House of Commons; Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, Historic Sites. He studied at the University of Toronto, Trinity College and the University of Belgrade. He leaves his wife Elizabeth, his children Kevin, Megan, Caitlin and Maureen and their spouses, his sister Betty THOMAS and his cousin Ross IMRIE and their families. He will be greatly missed by all, including his grandchildren Christopher, Anik, Alison, Charlotte, Chloe, Stephanie and Aidan, and by his many Friends. The family extends an invitation to gather to remember him on Saturday, June 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the reception room, 1st floor, 400 Stewart Street. Beloved father of Terri (Steve) DOW, Russell (Kelly,) Ellen IMRIE (John), Kathleen (Blake) SINCLAIR, and Keith (Erika). Much loved grandfather of Nancy, Steven, Josh, Kristy, Andrew, Meaghan, John, Dylan, Don, and Ian. Jake will be fondly remembered by his many Friends and extended family members. BENSON, Gertrude Helen (née IMRIE)
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our loving mother Gertrude of Alcona, on Friday, October 14, 2005. She went home to be with her Lord and Saviour in her 90th year and to be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, the late Reverend Andrew James BENSON. Loving mother of Jim (Sandra) of Walker Lake, George (the late Anita) of Bradford, Helen McDOUGALL (Jack) of Uxbridge, Fred (Lynda) of Wasaga Beach, Frank (Linda) of Bradford, and Glen (Terry) of Alcona. She will be lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Gord, D'arcy and sister Jean. Survived by her sister-in-law Audrey IMRIE of Barrie. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, Friends and her extended family members June and Elbert PALMER of Belle Ewart. The family wonld like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the management and staff, all the nurses, personal support workers and Friends at Roberta Place in Barrie on the 2nd floor H.A. 2 for their compassionate care, love and support for the past four years.
