Passed away at her late residence, Caressant Care on Bonnie Place,
Saint Thomas on Friday, July 18, 2008, in her 101st year. Beloved
wife of the late Ian
YEANDLE (1976.) Dearly loved mother of the
late John Marshall (Julia of Sparta). Lovingly remembered by
5 grandchildren, Susan (Whit), Mary (Jonathon), Joan, Tom (Tammy)
and Allan, and 8 great-grandchildren, Peter, Adam, James, Julia,
Amanda, Eddie, Ryan and Julie. She is also survived by several
nieces and nephews and their families. Ora was the last surviving
member of her own immediate family, having been predeceased by
6 brothers, Art, Harris, Charlie, Albert, Lee and Jim Dadson.
Born in Port Stanley, Ontario, May 21, 1908, she was the daughter
of the late John and Lucy
(HARRIS)
DADSON.
She resided in Saint Thomas
since 1961. Ora was a member of the Saint Thomas Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ). She was a Past President and the oldest
surviving member of the Original Seniors Citizens Club 37. Ora
was active in fundraising, organizing bus trips, teas and many
other activities for the community, and her contributions as
a volunteer for many years was recognized by a plaque from the
City of Saint Thomas. As a young couple, Ora and her husband Ian
worked with local youth as baseball coaches and as square dancing
instructors. Their square dance teams from junior to senior participated
in local fairs and competitions, winning many awards. Friends
will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington
Street, Saint Thomas on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral
and committal service will be held Monday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment
to be made privately in the Saint Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue

interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Woodbridge, Ontario. Arrangements
