Peacefully at the Empress Kanata on Monday, April 14, 2008, in
his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Minerva
McCALPIN
and father of Steven, Roy (Patricia,) Cathy (Joey
LAVIGNE) and
Dave (Erica), grandfather of Erin, Adam, Meg, Patrick, Dana,
Myles, Iain, Ellen and Anne and great-grandfather of Jason and
Blake. John served as Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian
Air Force 1941-45 and was held as a Prisoner of War 1944-45.
He graduated from Queen's University in Civil Engineering, class
of 48½, and had a long career as a professional engineer. At
his request there will be no funeral service. If you wish to

Marjorie on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Bridgepoint Health
Centre in her 93rd year. Dearly beloved wife of Ronald

It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of memories that we share
in the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister and friend, Mina
TRELIVING.
Mina was born in Virden, Manitoba where she spent her married
life and raised her family. In 2000, she moved to Calgary, Alberta
and resided there until her passing.
Mina passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 2,
2008 in Palm Springs, California. She joined her beloved Ted
(1987) and cherished grand_son Chadwyck

as her parents James and Mary
GARDNER and siblings Mowbry, Rita,
Melvin, Cecil, Douglas and Lawson through Heaven's Gate.
Mina was an inspiration to all that crossed her path and will
be truly missed by many. Her wisdom and stories will live on
through her cherished family. She is survived by her children

Our family has been blessed to have had Mina a part of our lives
for so many wonderful years. She would wish for all those reading

family and Friends and have faith in the Lord. As Mina would
say, "God Bless you all until we meet again". A celebration of
Mina's life was held at Saint Mary's Anglican Church, Virden, Manitoba,
Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. with Father Don Bernhardt
officiating. Interment was in Virden Cemetery. If Friends so
desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Mina
may be made to Saint Mary's Anglican Church Hall Building Fund,
P.O. Box 15, Virden, Manitoba R0M 2C0.

County of York. He was a 60 plus year member of Christ Anglican
Church Corunna, a Veteran of World War II serving Regiment B3468,
Past President and 50 year member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #447-Corunna,
Life Member of Moore Lodge #294 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons,
Past Noble Grand of Valentine Lodge #305- Mooretown, member of
Mayflower Rebekah Lodge #234-Mooretown, member LEA #26-Sarnia,
member of Huron Oaks Golf Club and a retiree of Polysar. Friends
will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway,
Corunna on Tuesday June 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral
service will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Anglican
Church Corunna. Interment will follow in Sutherland Cemetery,
