Peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, April 25, 2008 in her 88th year, Mary Teresa (McDONALD) PYKE. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John Francis PYKE Sr. Cherished mother of Daniel Kenneth (Vi) McDOUGALL of Cobourg, John Bernard (Lynn) of Trenton, Bernice (Dennis) McAFFER of London, James Francis (Diane) of Halifax, John Francis Jr. (Tinie) of London, Victoria (Bill) BARTON of London, and Les S. (Madeleine) of Kitchener. Dearly loved grandmother of twelve granddaughters, five grand_sons, five great-granddaughters and nine great-grand_sons. Dear sister of Kenneth (Gwen) McDONALD of St. Catharines, Angus (Jean) McDONALD of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Daniel (Carol) McDONALD of Sackville, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by sisters Geraldine MURPHY of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Frances COHEN, Sadie (Doug) TAILOR/TAYLOR and Pearl (Jack) TOMLINSON of St. Catharines. Daughter of the late Daniel K. McDONALD and the late Lucy (KENNEDY) McDONALD of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, retired from Revenue Canada Taxation. Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Monday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 at 10: 00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mary will be sadly missed by her faithful companion, Sheba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Humane Society. Peacefully, with her family by her side at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Sunday, February 24th, 2008. Loraine TUNKS (née TURNER) formerly of West Lorne in her 84th year. Predeceased by her loving friend and husband Lloyd A. TUNKS (1987,) her mother Sarah Mae MONROE (née TURNER,) her step-father William E. MONROE and her brother Kinsly MONROE. Dearly loved and sadly missed by Carol JEWELL and family and Floyd TUNKS and family, granddaughters Myah NORRIS (JEWELL) and Hugh, Carla JEWELL, Erika SOUTHERN (JEWELL) and Mark, Chad TUNKS and Kelly of Ft. Saint_John, British Columbia, Rhonda McCAFFREY (TUNKS) and Sean of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Bambi TUNKS and David SCHELTEMA of Woodstock and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Loraine was a life long member of West Lorne United Church, a member and past Noble Grand of Lorna Rebekah Lodge #217, West Lorne and a recipient of the Degree of Chivalry member of T.O.P.S. RAWN, Helen Viola
Peacefully on Tuesday March 11, 2008 at the General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood following a brief and courageous battle with cancer, in her 83rd year. Helen, beloved wife for over 56 years of Cline. Loving mother of Larry and his wife Cathy, Anne and her husband Don SMITH, Cathy and her husband Peter McCAFFREY and Dale and his wife Cathy. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Norman, Benjamin, Adam, Samantha and Michael. Helen is survived by her brother Lloyd and his wife Marion BARTHOLOMEW and sisters-in-law Betty WILSON and Joy SINCLAIR. Pre-deceased by her brother Murray BARTHOLOMEW. Helen is a life member of the New Flos Women's Institute and a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, Stayner. Friends were received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main Street), Stayner (705-428-2637) Tuesday March 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 205 Oak Street, Stayner Wednesday March 19th at 1 o'clock.
