At the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Thursday, April 18, 2008 at the age of 71. Pat BAKER, beloved wife of Vernon Rayne BAKER of Meaford. The former Patricia LOW/LOWE/LOUGH, daughter of the late Doris (née TEFFT) and Slywyn LOW/LOWE/LOUGH. Loved mother of Michael ADDISON and his wife Linda of Lethbridge, Alberta; Theresa ALLEN and her husband Derek of Brampton; and Laura ADDISON of London. Sadly missed by her six grandchildren: Felicity, Allison, Adam, Sean, Sierra and Eli. Dear sister of Ronald LOW/LOWE/LOUGH of Oshawa, and Barbara SHORTIS of Markham. Fondly remembered by her step-children Susan ARNAUD of Brampton, Carol Anne BAKER and Janet MARMMOLITI, both of Richmond Hill, and Linda BAKER of Vancouver, and by their children and families. Sister-in-law of Ernie (Agnes) BAKER, Neil (Louise) BAKER, Vi BARDEAU, and Dorothy WYLDES all of Meaford and Harold (Joyce) BAKER of London. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial funeral service, officiated by Reverend Gary PARKER, will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., in Meaford on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. with committal and interment of Pat's ashes following at Lakeview Cemetery. A resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Monday, March 31, 2008 in his 96th year. Murray is the son of the late George R. and Mary (BROWN) NEWKIRK. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (WILLIAMS.) Loving father of Margaret BULMER of London and David NEWKIRK and wife Liz WYLIE of Kelowna, British Columbia. Dear grandfather of Karen BULMER, Kevin and Tracey BULMER, Janna and Kurtis WOLKI, Sarah and Jason GATT and Emily NEWKIRK. Great-grandfather of Eddie and Jaden BULMER and Thea GATT. Brother of the late Eryl NEWKIRK. A life-long resident of Wallaceburg, Murray was a respected local businessman, proud member of the Kiltie Band and in later years had a great deal of pleasure relating his historical perspectives to historian Alan MANN and the Wallaceburg and District Museum. Friends may call at the Haycock-Cavangh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street (at Elgin) in Wallaceburg from 10: 30-11:30 on Tuesday, April 8. The funeral service will follow at 11: 30 a.m. on Tuesday. Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Friday June 20th, 2008, William Arthur MOREASH passed away in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Velma (Darrach) MOREASH for 60 years. Father of Sandra WALKER of Prince Edward Island, Shirley (Tommy) WYLIE and Judy (Michael) MORRISSEY. Grandfather of Shane WALKER, Kerry (Robert) BLACKWELL, Bridle CHIAPPETTA (David), Tommy (Jennifer) WYLIE, Corinne (Richard) DALAL and 12 great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of Betty GILBY and Phyllis (Ron) BEARD of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by brothers Dowe, Alec and Gerald all of Nova Scotia. As per Bill's wishes cremation has taken place. At the family's request memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dialysis Unit at Victoria Hospital in William's memory. William's final resting place will be in Prince Edward Island.

S/Sgt. James WYLIE Retired R.C.M.P. born in Scotland, on May 11, 1928 and raised in Brampton, Ontario, succumbed quickly to leukaemia and pneumonia at Brampton Civic Hospital on December 30, 2007. Predeased by his parents Jean and James WYLIE of Brampton, he leaves behind 3 adult children, John David Robertson WYLIE (Pam) of Toronto, James Brock WYLIE of Westminster, British Columbia and Cara Jade WYLIE (George,) of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, his brother Jack (Joyce) WYLIE and nephew Scott WYLIE of Brampton, also Sammara (Jean) WALLACE of Dundas who was his marriage partner for 35 years. Jim was active in the community being a member of Brampton Golf and Country Club, Avonlea Curling Club, Toronto Assoc. Police Curling Club and Escot Curling league. Besides golfing and curling he travelled extensively throughout: N. America, Australia, United Kingdom, Europe and to the family cottage in Parry Sound, Ontario Proud supporter of: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans Assoc., Royal Can. Legion, and local Libraries, he was an avid reader known for his thirst for knowledge and keen wit. Previously employed with: Dale Estates, Victory Aircraft, A.V. Roe, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (1949-1976) serving in Regina, Ottawa and Toronto detachments, Texaco/Esso (1980-92). He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Cremation will take place with remains interred at Brampton Cemetery. A Memorial will be held at the Brampton Golf Club on 7700 Kennedy Road, on Saturday January 12th, 1-4 p.m. for family and Friends. Donations to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

(July 7, 1923-January 7, 2008)
Peacefully while resting at home. Beloved husband to his late wife Ann Marie (née HARVIE,) respected and honoured father of Sheila (Ray THOROSKI), David, Gordon, William (Catriona). Proud grandfather, cherished by Ian, Scott, MacKay, Shona and Liam. Much loved brother of Bernice RUSSELL (Milton WYLIE) and very special uncle to Alison, Heather and Gordon. Will be greatly missed by 1st Cousins -- Mary FLAGLER, Lois DEVAL, Jean COOK, Jean THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and Charlie McALLISTER.
Born in Greenock, Scotland, he maintained a deep love for Scotland and his Scottish family. Gordon loved the open water and sailing. In World War 2, he served with the Royal Canadian Navy on Atlantic/North Sea duty. Graduated in 1948 from University of Toronto (Mechanical Engineering). After working for Union Gas and Trans Mountain Pipeline companies, in 1956 he established G.I. Russell and Company Limited, his consulting professional engineering practice. He founded Interprovincial Corrosion Control Ltd. and Isoionics. As a pioneer in promoting corrosion prevention for steel integrity maintenance, he conducted R and D, designing and applying cutting edge and innovative solutions, aiming to ensure public safety and optimal corrosion prevention. Gordon was Founding Chair, Southern Ontario Committee on Electrolytes, Founding Chair, National Association of Corrosion Engineers (Canadian Division) and Principal, Walter W. Smeltzer Corrosion Laboratory at McMaster University.
Close to his heart were his family, many Friends and time spent enjoying Ellie, Cairn and Muskoka.
The family will receive Friends at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), Burlington, 905-637-5233, on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Flowers kindly declined. Died at Queens Gardens, Hamilton on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Eldest daughter of Frederick and Lulu CREALY, Born October 19, 1913 in Caradoc Township, Ontario. Predeceased by brother William CREALY, sisters Phyllis (child) and Laura May CREALY. Survived by sisters Ethel MIDGLEY of Burlington and Alice WADSWORTH of Hamilton. Nieces Ellen TAILOR/TAYLOR of Puslinch, Patricia WADSWORTH of Hamilton. Nephews Robert MIDGLEY of Toronto, Philip WADSWORTH of Scarborough, Jerold WADSWORTH of Montreal, Brian WADSWORTH of Waterloo, and eleven great nieces and nephews. After graduating from highschool in Strathroy, Ontario, she received her R.N. in nursing from Hamilton General Hospital. For the greater part of her nursing career she was the office nurse for doctors Harry ROBINSON and Allen WYLIE, where she remained until her retirement. With her Friends, she enjoyed several trips abroad, as well as on this continent. She was an avid photographer and collected many scenes on her travels, as well as many photographs of family and Friends. She has been a member of Wentworth Baptist Church, Hamilton for sixty years. At Middlesex Terrace Nursing Home, Delaware, on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, Gwendolyn Mae (BECKER) WYLLIE of Glencoe and formerly of Woodstock, after a long and courageous battle with cancer in her 63rd year. Gwen will be sadly missed by her son Wray and Wife Michelle of Sundridge and her daughter and best friend Patty MORIN and her husband John of Glencoe. Gwen was treasured by her grandchildren, Joe and Kaylee WYLLIE, Ariel LAUREL and Aaron LANAWAY. Survived by her sisters, Doreen JOHNSTONE, Rhea BECKER, Elaine BECKER, Evelyn COON and brother Graham BECKER. Gwen will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th at 12 noon at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe. Visitation will be for the hour prior to the service (11 a.m. to noon).
