Peacefully at L.H.S.C. University Campus on Friday, March 21st, 2008 Mildred A. YOUNG of London and formerly of Caradoc Twp in her 92nd year. Predeceased by husband Robert A. YOUNG. Sadly missed by Greg (Lisa) BARTLEY of Summerfield, North Carolina. Survived by brother Claire (Carolyn) TOLES of Bahamas. Predeceased by siblings Marion HEATH, and Zelma FISHER, as well as parents Archie and Alice TOLES. Survived by 2 grandchildren Nick and Jessica as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges, on Saturday, March 29th from 10 a.m.. to 11 a.m. where a memorial service will be held at 11: 00 a.m.. LAYT, George H.G.
In his 89th year, peacefully at Ian Anderson House (palliative care hospice), Oakville, Ontario, following recent health complications. George was born in 1919 in Middlesbrough, England. During World War 2, George earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his efforts flying with an Royal Air Force Squadron of Canadian built DeHavilland Mosquito aircraft. After immigrating to Canada following World War 2, George ultimately achieved the position of Executive Vice President of Stelco. After his retirement, George continued to pursue an ongoing passion for world travel, carefully documenting and photographing his varied experiences. He also volunteered his time to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and to Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington. Predeceased by his first wife Hilda (GRAHAM) LAYT and his second wife Jean (TOLHURST) LAYT, he will be lovingly remembered by his many lifetime Friends, his nieces Orlaith (Graham) DUKE and Clodagh (Graham) CAMERON, his nephew Edward GRAHAM, his stepsons Cliff and Larry READ, his close personal friend Helen PROWSE, and their families. A memorial and celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 12: 00 noon at Mississauga Golf and Country Club, 1725 Mississauga Road N., Mississauga, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Ian Anderson House, P.O. Box 61034, 511 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville, Ontario L6J 7P5 would be appreciated.

Beloved daughter of Fotini TOLIAS (née DIMOPOULOS) and the late Vassili TOLIAS. Survived by her aunts, uncles and cousins in Montreal, and Nafplion and Athens, Greece. Treasured friend of many. A most beautiful soul, Angie provided for and found refuge in a wide range of Friends. Larger than life to those who knew her, she had a heart that knew no limits. A big thank you to her caring Friends at the Montreal General and Saint Mary's Hospitals, and especially to the staff at Saint Mary's Intensive Care Unit. Viewing will take place Wednesday evening, February 6th, from 7-9 p.m. at Kane Fetterly, 5301 Decarie Blvd. Church service is on Thursday, February 7th at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2455 Cote. At Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Wilma Elizabeth CLARKE of Chateau Gardens, Aylmer and formerly of R.R.#2, Springfield in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles CLARKE (1995.) Dear mother of Kenneth and his wife Evelyn of R.R.#2 Springfield, Marjorie PAYNE and her husband Dr. William of London and Carolyn CLARKE of Saint Thomas. Grandmother of Kristen PAYNE of Chatham, Doctor Michael PAYNE and Sarah MILES of Australia and Andrew PAYNE of London. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Rev. Ellsworth and LeRoy TOLL. Born in Walkerville, Ontario on May 2, 1911 daughter of the late Rev. Sylvester and Maude (ROBERTS) TOLL. She was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church and the Evertrue Mission Circle. Wilma graduated from Victoria College at the University of Toronto in 1933, the Ontario College of Education and taught at the Ontario Ladies College in Whitby for seven years. She also taught at Springfield Public School. Friends may call at the H.A. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Saturday, July 12th, 2008, at the L.H.S.C. (Victoria Campus), in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of 59 years of Louise (GAUDDET) MacDONALD and dearly loved father of Judith MacDONALD (fiance James TOLMAN) of Saint Thomas, Debbie (Mike) CARRUTHERS of London, Tom Jr. "Skip" (Gina) MacDONALD of London, Phyllis (Leo) BONOMI of St. Catharines, Michael (Liz) MacDONALD of Saint Thomas, Eva NEWHOUSE of London, Philip (Rhoda) MacDONALD, Sybil (Jeff) SMITH, and Paul (Christine) MacDONALD, all of Saint Thomas and the late Jamie MacDONALD. Predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Tom was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on December 18th, 1926, the son of the late Philip and Eva (RIPLEY) MacDONALD. He lived most of his life in Saint Thomas and was a member of Holy Angel's Church. He was retired from the Department of Public Works. Tom served in the Army during World War 2. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Wednesday morning and then to Holy Angel's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angel's Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Holy Angel's Church Restoration Fund

Joan was surrounded by music all her life, she sang with the Leslie Bell Singers and The Festival Singers and shared her knowledge through teaching music in the South Peel school system for 35 years. Peacefully passed away at The WestMount, Kitchener, Ontario, on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at age 87 years. Beloved husband for 57 years of the late Edeltraut Anna Martha (MINK,) who passed away May 25, 2007. Dear father of Lois and Brian CLIFFORD of Kitchener, Wayne of New Hamburg and his partner Melissa DENNISON of Kitchener, Carol Anne and Brian TOLTON of Markdale; sadly missed by grand children, Paul and Brae-Lyn CLIFFORD, Aaron CLIFFORD, Neil TOLTON and Darrah, Carly and Everett BUMSTEAD; dear brother of Ruby (John) IRWIN, Marie (Carman) LOUCKS, Marjorie (Larry) GIBSON, Frank (Elaine) BUMSTEAD, Shirley (Robert) BETTS and also fondly remembered by Michele BRANIFF. Predeceased by sisters, Edna MILLS and Pearl RUSSELL. A funeral service to celebrate Earl's life was held in the chapel at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, Waterloo, on Monday, March 24, 2008. Rev. Bob PARKS officiated, with tributes given by Earl's daughter, Carol Anne TOLTON, his grand daughters, Darrah and Carly BUMSTEAD, his grand_son, Paul CLIFFORD, and his son-in-law, Brian CLIFFORD. Pallbearers were his six grandchildren, Paul, Aaron, Neil, Darrah, Carly and Everett. A private family graveside service took place with burial following at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario where Edel was interred just 10 months before. Earl was born and raised on the Meaford Tank Range, moving to Kitchener to drive a bus as a young man, where he met and married Edel MINK. The family moved to Flesherton in 1961 where Earl purchased a general insurance agency, relocating to Markdale in 1968. Earl owned and operated Earl G Bumstead Insurance Ltd. and was actively involved in the Markdale community, serving on the school board and town council. He was an executive member of the local Rotary Club and a long-time member of the Markdale Country Club. He and Edel retired to Kitchener in 1985, wintering in Florida for sixteen years. Earl's declining health necessitated his move to long term care and he resided at The WestMount from 2003 until his passing. Donations were made to Benton Street Baptist Church in Kitchener and The Alzheimer's Society.
