highly respected secondary school teachers for over 25 years.
He was also a former Navigating Officer in the Royal Canadian
Air Force during the Second World War when he met his lifelong
companion Lucille. The family will receive Friends at the Westview
Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North on Thursday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m.

art at Walpole Island First Nations, volunteered at the Museum
and La Point-Fisher nursing home, was a member of the Trinity
United Church Women, life member of the Eastern Star and founding
member of the Snye Patriotic League. Friends may call at the
Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street (at Elgin) in
Wallaceburg from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral service
will be held at Trinity United Church on Friday, July 25 at 1: 30 p.m.
The interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery. If desired, remembrances
to Fairfield Memorial Gardens or the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Magnetic

Robert Bruce
SUTHERLAND, beloved husband of Jeannette of thirty-nine
years, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 after a courageous
battle with lung cancer at the age of 67 years. Bob was born
in Toronto, Ontario on October 21, 1940. He was in the insurance
business for forty-eight years, working for Continental Insurance,
Great American Insurance in Toronto and Montreal and Gerling
Global Insurance (Gcan). Bob was always generous to charitable
organizations. Robert is survived by his loving wife Jeanette
