At London Health Sciences Centre, University on Saturday April 26, 2008. Dennis Cartwright SMALDON of London in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Ivy SMALDON. Dear father of Geoff SMALDON (Ann,) Dawn PIPER (Larry), Diane MORAN (Paul), Andrew SMALDON (Helen BROWN) all of London. Loving grandfather of Neil, Karen, Sarah, Michael, Michelle, Lynnette, David, Steven, Samantha and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary TICKNER (Keith) and Phyllis SOPER (Norman) both of England. Cremation has taken place. At London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital at 5 a.m. on the 6th day of the seventh month of 2008, Anita 'Joan' (McLEAN) LOCKYEAR in her 69th year, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, passed away. Joan will be lovingly remembered by husband Stewart. She was a loving mother to Jamie and Nancy (John) TICKNOR and Grandma of Michael and David. Predeceased by her mother Letitia and father Ralph and step-mother Esther and step-father Angus. Loved by her brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and Aunt Winkie. She was a proud charter member of the Forest City Decorative Artists. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Saint Paul's Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street (at Queens), on Wednesday, July 9th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
