LANE, Murray
Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Southlake Regional Health Centre with his family at his side. Cherished and much loved son of Ron and Marian LANE of Goderich. Dear brother of Sandra LANE (Lee THACKERAY) of Burlington and Brian (Lisa OGILVIE) of Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2003 Murray discovered that his truce calling in life was as Uncle Murray and he will be sadly missed by his nieces Audrey and Grace and nephew Grant. Survived by his grandmother Lillian McTAVISH of Stratford. Murray will also be sadly missed by his many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, companion Des, Friends and special Friends from Doane House. A graduate from the University of Waterloo in civil engineering, Murray built a very successful business career at International Business Machines Corporation where he won multiple awards for his innovative work in process re-engineering, Friends will be received at the Taylor Funeral Home "Newmarket Chapel", 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, 905-898-2100 from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008. A graceful and beautiful lady and a breath of life, wisdom and happiness to Robert GILCHRIST (Marilyn,) Doug GILCHRIST (Anne,) Jaye THACKERAY, Heather SPINKS (Jeff), Fred ROSE (Alice) and Jack ROSE. A special grandmother to six and great-grandmother to two. Eileen will also be remembered by many extended family and Friends. Cherished wife of the late R.J. "Bob" GILCHRIST (1990) and the late Fred LUCKEN (1961.) Predeceased by her daughter Mary HAMMERL (née LUCKEN,) step-son Barry GILCHRIST, her sister Enid ROSE and her brother Ethan "Bus" THACKERAY. On March 3rd, 2008 at North York General Hospital in her 81st year. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth HAY- ROE. Will be sadly missed by son Tony HAY- ROE (Lynn,) daughter Penny HAY- ROE (Michael,) by grandchildren Andrew, Alex, Jennifer and Brian and by sister Sheelagh THACKRAY and brother Patrick MARTIN. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 lights west of Yonge St.) on Saturday, March 8th 11: 00 a.m. Reception to follow the service. CAMERON, Grace (née LAKE)
Loved mother of Sheri and Stacy passed peacefully in her home on the early morning of Wednesday, January 23, 2008 completing 88 years of good living. Wife of the late Malcolm CAMERON, sister of the late Marjorie FEE, the late Evelyn (Billie) LAKE, the late Leonard LAKE, the late Ernie LAKE, and loving daughter of the late Florence and Ernest LAKE. Grace will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her niece Barbara THAKE and her husband Richard, her son-in-law Ivan GARCIA, her great-niece Kristin BRIGGS and her husband Steve and their children Cameron and Duncan, her great-nephew Jonathan THAKE and his wife Michelle, her great-niece Ashley WILSON and her husband Jeff and their daughter Claire Marjorie, and her very special caregiver and friend Phylis Watson. Special thanks to Doctor William DYMON for his wonderful care and support of Grace and her family. An interment at Park Lawn Cemetery will be attended by the family and a celebration of Grace's life will held for Friends at a later date. If desired, donations in Grace's memory to The Good Shepherd Non Profit Homes Inc., 10 Tracy Street, Toronto, M5A 4P2 would be appreciated.

On Saturday June 14th, 2008 at 11: 15 a.m., the family of the late Wallace William BECKER will meet at the Grand Bend Community Cemetery at which time the remains of Mr. BECKER will committed for burial. The officiating minister will be Rev. Robert THALER. Following the interment, refreshments will be served at the Grand Bend United Church by the United Church Women of the church. Peacefully at Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 Max A. DENNIS of Aylmer, formerly of Straffordville age 85 years. Dear friend of the late Audrey SEYMOUR. Beloved brother of Nancy BYRNE of Ancaster, and Clare DENNIS of Hagersville, and brother-in-law of Annie DENNIS of Port Dover. Also, survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Max was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Ethel DENNIS; sister Gweneath THAR; brother Jack DENNIS; brother-in-law Norman BYRNE, and sister-in-law Joanne DENNIS. Max was a life member of Ashlar Lodge #701 Tillsonburg a member of the Palestine Chapter #54 Saint Thomas; a life member of Mocha Temple in London; a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #81 Aylmer, and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Otter Lodge #50 Tillsonburg.
