Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Wiarton site, on Thursday, June 19th, 2008. Werner TATCHEN, of R.R.#1, Kemble, in his 83rd year. Dearly beloved husband of the late Inge TATCHEN (née KNOKE.) Loving father of Hermann TATCHEN, of R.R.#1, Kemble, Elizabeth TATCHEN, of Toronto, Lore WASKONIG, Rolf TATCHEN, Christel TATCHEN, Inge TATCHEN and Ursula GOETZE, all of Germany. Proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear brother of Inge TATCHEN, of Germany and Karla TATCHEN, of Great Britain and brother-in-law, of Renate AMSTUTZ, of Guelph, Ontario Predeceased by his parents, Hermann and Willimena TATCHEN his sons, Karl and Ulrich TATCHEN; his brothers, Alfred and Siegfried TATCHEN. A Funeral Service for Werner TATCHEN will be held in the Chapel of the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario, N4K-3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday, June 25th at 10: 30 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Peacefully on Thursday, February 7th, 2008. Frank GOLDSTEIN, son of the late Chaim and Chana GOLDSTEIN. Devoted husband of the late Rae GOLDSTEIN (née APPLEBAUM.) Beloved father and father-in-law of Howard and Janet, Lorne and Carol, and Hyla and Michael SPAGAT. Much loved Zaida to Noah, Fern, David, Aaron, Ira, Shira, Cayla, Bailey, and Benji. Dear brother of the late Abe GOLDSTEIN, and Molly TATELBAUM. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Adelpha Delima for her years of care and devotion to our "commander in chief" and to caregiver Donnalyn. TATTON, Mary Elizabeth " Betty" (née GARTHWAITE)
At the end of her long journey, on July 5, 2008, Betty peacefully passed away with her family by her side at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. A Capricorn, she was born January 15, 1922 in Toronto, Ontario. Beloved wife of Lorne, her everlovin' husband and best friend for 63 wonderful years. Dear mother of her adoring daughter Lisa and her husband Jim VANSTONE of Victoria, and her devoted son David of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by her brother William and her grandchildren Edward, Gordon and Gregory. Betty was predeceased by her parents William and Pearl and sister Joan McCOLL. When Lorne returned from the war, he and his cherished Betty were married and raised their family in Toronto, Chatham and Burlington. When the children were grown, Betty both worked and volunteered at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. She approached her endeavors enthusiastically whether it was her work, socializing with Friends and family, bridge, cooking or tending her garden. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Betty's life was held at the Interfaith Chapel, Finnerty Gardens, University of Victoria on Friday July 11, 2008 at 3: 30 p.m. with Rev. Ormand Lavenne officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto will take place in September 2008, and a memorial service will be arranged and announced at that time. If you wish, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or the Alzheimer's Society of Victoria or the Sunnybrook Foundation, Toronto.
