STYKE, Nick
83 of Largo, Florida (formerly of Belle Haven, Virginia) was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 22, 2008. The son of the late William and Pauline STYKE of Toronto, Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Laurna Alice STYKE, his son Rodger W. STYKE, wife Sheila and grand_son Ronnie (Wayne) MARSHALL, Jr. of Parksley, Virginia, Sisters: Mary SEMKIW of Oakville, Ontario, Stephanie LOW/LOWE/LOUGH of Oakville, Ontario and Vera VINNICK of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Nephews; Dennis SEMKIW and his wife Norlee and children Johnathon and Marilee of Mississauga, Ontario, Brian SEMKIW and his wife Colleen and children Ashleigh, Katie, Marrissa and Kelly of Oakville, Ontario, Randy LOW/LOWE/LOUGH and his wife Joceyln and children Kristin and Jessica and one niece Patricia LOW/LOWE/LOUGH and daughter Leanne of Oakville, Ontario. He was born in the Ukraine, immigrated to Canada in 1930 and the United States in 1965. He was the developer and owner of the Meatland/Food City supermarket chain on the Delmarva Peninsula from 1973-1989. He was an active member of Northside Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, Florida serving as a deacon and on the finance committee. A memorial service will be held at the Northside Baptist Church, 6000 38th Ave North, St. Petersburg, Florida, Friday March 28, 2008 at 1 p.m. A visitation will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Suddenly as the result of an accident on Sunday, March 23, 2008. “Bill” ALJOE of Hanover, formerly of Durham in his 81st year. Husband of the late Isabelle (née STODDART.) Loved father of Gregory (Virginia WATTS) of Waterloo and Milford Bay, Suzanne (Gerald) of Owen Sound and Michele DOUCET of Waterloo. Sadly missed by grandchildren Michael and Krista KARN, Steven and Lori KARN, Stacey and Jeff GOLDIE, 5 great-grandchildren and sisters Evelyn PATTERSON, Helen SMITH and Ada (Harry) STYLES all of Durham, Beatrice (Hartmut) RIDDERBUSCH and Sharon BURGESS all of Hanover, Lorna (William) ZADUK of Guelph, and Doreen FRYER and Norma BARRETT both of Collingwood. Predeceased by three children Carol, James and Mary and brothers Vernon, Arthur and Murray. The family will receive Friends at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Durham on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Durham at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, Thomas Martin STARK of London in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Debbie (STYLES) STARK. Dear son of Ida STARK of Gravenhurst and the late Fred STARK. Dear father of Peter STARK and his wife Linda of Kitchener and Michael STARK and his partner Jennifer RUNHAM of Gravenhurst. Loved grandfather of Ashton and Lincoln STARK. Dear brother of Fred STARK and his wife Nancy of Hudson, Florida, Betty BURK/BURKE and her husband Bob of North Bay and Linda READMAN and her husband Barry of Bracebridge. Brother-in-law of Audrey STYLES of Orillia, Carol ANDERSON of Toronto and Robin STYLES and his wife Linda of Trenton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In 2003, Tom retired from the Ministry of Community and Social Services after 30 years of service. He was well known for his love of gardening and his dedication to his canine companions. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the 4th floor nursing staff at University Hospital for their care and compassion for Tom and his family during this time. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London (519-433-5184) where a memorial service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. with Revend Ken TAILOR/TAYLOR officiating. HICKMOTT, Audrey (née TROTTER)
With family at her side, at Parkwood Hospital, on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, Audrey HICKMOTT (née TROTTER) of London passed away in her 76th year. Dear wife of the late Gordon HICKMOTT (2002) of 51 years. Loving mother of Kim STYLES and her husband Rob. Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Ashley and Lacey. Beloved sister of Lynne GRISTEY and her husband Bill. Fondly remembered by her Uncle George MORRIS. Also survived by aunts, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her dear Friends Doreen McCONNELL, Mary KEITH and by her canine companion Winston. Predeceased by her special Aunt Winnifred MORRIS. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 28th, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
