SOONG,
On February 6, 2008. Beloved wife of the late May Sang, mother
to Maria (Robert), Mathew (Helen), Paul (Theodora) and Peter
(May Lynn) and the adored grandmother to Jessica (Quan), Jonathan,
Jennifer, Theodore, Michael, Daniel, Christine and Allison.
Jesse was born in Shanghai, China in 1927 and moved to Canada
over 35 years ago. A devoted wife and great partner to her late
husband for 58 years, Jesse was a cheerful woman who enjoyed
life and always had a smile for everyone. After the passing of
her husband, she carried on the tradition of the Soong family
and went on many trips around the world with her children and
grandchildren and continued with her regular visits to the Young
Men's Christian Association. Following her husband's passions,
she continued to be a great supporter of the Chinese Cultural
Centre of Greater Toronto. She will be missed by many Friends
and family here, Hong Kong and
in Shanghai.
The family offers many thanks to the dedicated staff at the Princess
Margaret Hospital, who made her regular visits much more bearable
and helped to give us a bit more time with her. Visitation from
6-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 14 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home
(6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service
will be held on Friday, February 15 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Trinity
Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave - North of Finch) with internment
at Holy Cross Cemetery followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, well-wishers may consider a donation to the
Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation - Leukemia Research.
