In loving memory of Sherman Owen BAILEY, November 24, 1939 - April 26, 2008 who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the age of 68.
Beloved husband of Catherine BAILEY (née DUNN) of Little Current. Father of daughter Kimberley GROEN and Gerry GREEN of Blind River. Predeceased by son-in-law Leo GROEN. Brother of Vivian and husband George PENNIE of Manitowaning, Doug and wife Mary Ellen BAILEY of Little Current, Martin "BOYNE" and wife Betty BAILEY of Kagawong. Will always be remembered by nieces and nephews Peter and wife Sue PENNIE, Sandra PENNIE, Martin BAILEY, Bradley and wife Cynda BAILEY, Terri SMUCK and Rodney. Predeceased by Blaire, Vivian Diane and Connie Lynn. Great uncle of Jimmy, Drew, Ashley, Jordan, Trenton and Jordon. Visitation was 7 - 9 pm Tuesday. Funeral Service was at 2 pm Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Island Funeral Home. Burial at Kagawong Cedars Cemetery. Donations to Diabetes, or the Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.

Peacefully, at his late residence on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 Gerry J. VAN BUSSEL of Ilderton in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Wilma (Van den Berg) VAN BUSSEL. Dear father and father-in-law of Connie VAN BUSSEL and Bob BENNER of London and Roger and Corina LOW/LOWE/LOUGH of Moffatt. Dear grandfather of Lindsay and her husband Nick BENNER, Erin and Jake BENNER and Nichole and Jeffery LOW/LOWE/LOUGH. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tina and Harry VAN BOXMEER and Elizabeth and Jeff ROESTENBERG all of Ilderton, Jim and Cathy VAN BUSSEL and Sharon and Joe CZIKK all of London, Mary and John TEN KATE and Joanne and Tony SMULDERS all of Dorchester, Helmi and John KAUFMAN of Brantford, Helen and Brian McHENRY of Poplar Hill, Cathy VAN BUSSEL of Lucan, Berny VAN BUSSEL of London, Gerry HILHORST of Strathroy and Tony and Jo VAN DEN BERG and Gerry and Kit VAN DEN BERG all of Holland. Gerry developed and constructed Vintage Green in Ilderton. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Friday, July 4th at 10 a.m. with Father Clare COLEMAN celebrant. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lucan. Donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded through www.haskettfh.com.

Cherished mother of Marie BALFE (Andy), Eileen DOYLE (Stephen), Joseph KEOGAN (late Barbara), all of London, Jim KEOGAN (Susan,) of Thorndale, Jacqueline DICKSON/DIXON (Ed,) and Valerie MURPHY (Gerard) of London. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing from a heart attack of our dear husband and father on Monday, 7 April 2008, at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, in his 80th year.
son of the late Benjamin and Rachel (née SMULLEN) BENNET- ALDER. Beloved husband of Margaret Isabel (née STEWARD/STEWART/STUART) for 45 years, loving father of Alice, Brisbane, Australia; David, Toronto, Peter, Niagara Falls; and Rachelle FERGUSON (John), Auckland, New Zealand. Loving grandfather of Aurora BENNET- ALDER, and Liam FERGUSON. Much loved brother of Tina BRAUN, Oakville, Ontario, Leon BENNET- ALDER, Tucson, Arizona and Adele ALEXANDER, Royal Oak, Michigan; loved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A gifted, passionate teacher of both French and English as a second language, he also served at the Ontario Ministry of Education from 1964 to 1989.
He was a good friend to many, delighting them with his sense of humour and encyclopedic knowledge.
Noël was a devotee of Sai Baba and had visited him several time in India.
A Celebration of his life will take place at the York Chapel and Reception Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto 416-221-3404 on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place in the chapel from 10 a.m. until service time.

SMUTYLO, Mary
Passed away peacefully at Kelso Pines Retirement Lodge, Owen Sound on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the age of ninety-seven. She was born near Hafford, Saskatchewan and married Steve SMUTYLO in 1936. Mary is survived by her two sons, Allen and Terry and his wife Ann, her brother John (Anne) in Saskatoon, her sister Doris in Toronto, her loving grandchildren Koby (Michelle), Daniel (Anna), Paul, Tania (Sean) and Casey and her great-grandchildren Audrey, Adrienne and Isaac. Mary was a loving mother, mother-in-law and Baba and was greatly admired by all for her skills in cooking (especially her dill pickles and lemon meringue pie), sewing and gardening. She was and early peace advocate with the “Voice of Women” and her advice on herbal remedies, nutrition and organic gardening was constantly sought by family, Friends and neighbours. She cherished her grandchildren for whom she prepared many especially healthy dishes and drinks. All who knew her will miss her dearly. The funeral service for Mary SMUTYLO will be conducted in the chapel of the Tannahill Funeral Home 519-376-3710 on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Doctor Brad CLARK officiating. Memorial donations to Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
