SLOAN,
Jennifer▼ (1966-2007)
One year ago Jennifer left us. She left us with an emptiness
that cannot be filled, a longing for one more radiant smile and
for one more bright ring of her laughter. Of all her wonderful
characteristics, the ability to bring joy to others was her greatest.
With witty banter, sumptuous cooking, huge generosity, and simple
acts of kindness she created memories and remarkable moments
that remain with us. She was no hero and had no pretensions.
She was the beloved friend and neighbour that people wanted to
be near. Her energy was contagious and those who had only brief
encounters with Jennifer understood they had met someone special.
She is missed everyday by her family, Friends, employees, customers,
suppliers, her community, and Ruby the Cat. 'Love need not be
a command or faith a dictum. We are here to laugh at the odds
and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.'
